ID HELP Possible Gymnopilus Florida need a second opinion

Habitat: shady  urban area where there are many large oak found under living tree grow

Bruising : greensih bruising immediatly apparent after damaging

Location: north florida growing out of the dirt and wood chips and decaying tree matter.

Gills :yellow pores

Stem: about 4 inches thick all the way down

Cap: orangish yellow smooth 4-5 inches across

the mushroom in your gallery is not a gymnopilus. They have gills underneath, not pores.

okay thank you for clearing that up . Does anyone know what they might be , I was curious as they did bruise green I had read that some non active species also bruise green .

It could be a bolete, they bruise blue I believe and are also often poisonous.

Don’t eat it. Also wait for a trusted identifier.

Boletus species. Definitely not Gymnopilus.
