Which mushrooms to look for in Florida, and where.

1. Copelandia chlorocystis - On sod using rich black soil from the Everglades, apparently without dung of any kind added; attached to decaying grass fragments.

2. Copelandia cyanescens - Growing in dung in pastures and fields.

3. Copelandia westii - Growing in dung in pastures and fields.

4. Gymnopilus liquiritae - On conifer wood and sawdust, occasionally also on hardwood.

5. Gymnopilus luteofolius - On wood (sawdust, logs, stumps of conifers, more rarely on oak and cottonwood).

6. Gymnopilus sapineus - On wood of conifers and hardwood, and on sawdust.

7. Panaeolus castaneifolius - Growing in grassy areas.

8. Panaeolus fimicola - Growing in soil or dung. Sometimes found in well-fertilized lawns and/or grassy places in woods.

9. Panaeolus subbalteatus - Grows in dung or in well-manured ground.

10. Psilocybe caerulescens var. caerulescens - Found on disturbed or cultivated grounds often devoid of herbaceous plants. Preferring muddy orangish brown soils. Sugarcane mulch also.

11. Psilocybe cubensis - On dung of bovines (cattle, oxen, yaks, water buffalo), horse, or elephant dung, and on well-manured grounds.

12. Psilocybe mammilata - In soils rich in woody debris, in humus, and sometimes on clay soils. Found along trails, shady banks, and in coffee plantations.

13. Psilocybe tampanensis - Near sand dunes..

Your comments about the above descriptions are welcomed, Thank you,

Keep shroomin,

Great! I have to visit Florida one day.
I read that tampanensis was found only twice in nature. Did anyone find it recently?
