Which mushrooms to look for in Florida, and where. 1. Copelandia chlorocystis - On sod using rich black soil from the Everglades, apparently without dung of any kind added; attached to decaying grass fragments. 2. Copelandia cyanescens - Growing in dung in pastures and fields. 3. Copelandia westii - Growing in dung in pastures and fields. 4. Gymnopilus liquiritae - On conifer wood and sawdust, occasionally also on hardwood. 5. Gymnopilus luteofolius - On wood (sawdust, logs, stumps of conifers, more rarely on oak and cottonwood). 6. Gymnopilus sapineus - On wood of conifers and hardwood, and on sawdust. 7. Panaeolus castaneifolius - Growing in grassy areas. 8. Panaeolus fimicola - Growing in soil or dung. Sometimes found in well-fertilized lawns and/or grassy places in woods. 9. Panaeolus subbalteatus - Grows in dung or in well-manured ground. 10. Psilocybe caerulescens var. caerulescens - Found on disturbed or cultivated grounds often devoid of herbaceous plants. Preferring muddy orangish brown soils. Sugarcane mulch also. 11. Psilocybe cubensis - On dung of bovines (cattle, oxen, yaks, water buffalo), horse, or elephant dung, and on well-manured grounds. 12. Psilocybe mammilata - In soils rich in woody debris, in humus, and sometimes on clay soils. Found along trails, shady banks, and in coffee plantations. 13. Psilocybe tampanensis - Near sand dunes.. great job! on number 7 you repeated the word areas. other than typos its great. maybe someone could add it to the faq.

read this it says "areas areas". why would he want the same word twice? that is a typo. but other than that there are no others peace

Great! I have to visit Florida one day.  I read that tampanensis was found only twice in nature. Did anyone find it recently?

I think i need a more detailed descriptions on the P. tampanensis and also the Copelandia westii..
