Your spawn dosent look the greatest plus adding to a overlywet sub spells mold.

Don't use coffee outdated shit. It will mold like 8/10 that's a high 8 like 8.9/10

They all have bacteria in them. Uncolonized grains that appear wet are a dead giveaway.

I don't see a problem with the spawn. If you do make adjustments on moisture and extra additions the only other thing I could see it being may be your grow room. It might just be packed with trich spores from your last grows.

Looking at all those jars, I suspect the sunflower seeds in your spawn mix may be the vector letting the trich in.

Lmfao!!!
Ya I was gonna say, wait a couple more days, they dont look fully colonized...

Edit-
Doesnt look bad to me, grains press against the inside and it's harder for the myc to get to those spots, if you wait a day or two, you'll see it cover them, if not it's a mild contam that won't trich your stuff.
If you see slime, green, black, or off yellow even off white, it's better to ask... also ripples are a giveaway, myc is fluffy or ropey, nothing else...

Not any colonized.

I have agar in my fridge i put in directly after transfer and when I want to use it I pull it out and let it colonize the plate then use

Hmmm you think? This is actually the first time i've ever tried using brands with sunflower seeds and keeping them in. I read a few people saying they had no problem with it and it adds nutes but maybe thats old info.

hmmm... The most recent one was about 5 days ago. The other ones were between 5 and 8 days ago or so maybe

I swear I’ve read you’re supposed to remove the sunflower seeds because it can open the door for contams.

That's not how it works.

You are the only vector if your grain preps on point

You get over hydrated grains you get bacteria.

Edit same with underhydration it's hard to sterilize dry grains.

Thanks man. So more or less it shouldn't be a huge issue?

I think i'll just take away the coffee, prep a bit drier sub, and start with fresh agar after I spawn these last jars, then see what happens

I think I'll start some more agar work. I only have about 10 plates and they're all old as fuck, been sitting in my fridge for about a year.

Maybe ill prep some plates and take a new clone..

I’m sure that the seeds can be kept in and used successfully,  but filtering them out is a theme in a lot of the WBS prep teks. I know Yesum and Stareatclouds use WBS primarily. It might be worthwhile to shoot them a PM.
