    I now am making a less dangerous assumption that he was also talking about the more popular cubensis and not more potent species such as ovoids. Using that assumption, using terence’s “right way” and using your conversion of 5 grams of cubensis being equal to about 3 grams of ovoids I believe I should take three grams.

    However is this smart? Should I start smaller? I have heard that it is essential to understand psilocybin’s unbelievable capabilities on your first trip and terence has said that taking a larger dose will help accomplish this. Any incite/advice is incredibly appreciated. Thanks again!

Should I wait until theyre completely dry or do you think there is a way I can reliably dose right now.

There’s nothing like letting a few pristine specimens melt in your mouth-and then maybe a few more at various intervals depending how you feel - pour A little boiling water over them first if you’re concerned about unseen nasties - I generally avoid fresh thick stems but prime caps are heavenly.

Enjoy and be careful as advised by others- if you eat 5g it’s likely you’ll lose interest in mushrooms for quite awhile possibly decades

I'd second the recommendation of starting with 2g. Do 2.5 if you feel like you want more. There's no reason to rush things like this but I understand that's hard to explain/understand. The reason you should wait until it's cracker dry is to make your dosing as accurate as possible. Right now since they're not completely dried they will contain additional water which may throw your dose off.

All that being said...as long as your are aware of the risks, and take care of your set and setting good you should be fine.
