Boomers Ovoid Adventure

Well, I finally made it home today. I've been jonesing to go hunting for about two weeks now. Anyways, here is what I found at two of my local patches. Here are the pics. Don't mind the date, they were found a few hours ago.

I will have more tomorrow and will post throughout the day as I find them. I am traveling to Eastern Ohio for my "BIG" hunt of the year. Enjoy!

Nice finds! My big fear here on the East Coast is that I may miss local Ovoids among the many spring entolomas. Any tips for hunting these treasures?

im in northern lower michigan. ive been out searching for about 2 weeks now. havent found anything yet, dont even know if they grow this far north. im really hoping, but not exactly expecting to find any. based on their habitat i have a few really great places to look. i'll continue to search untill the nsow covers the ground again. maybe i'll get lucky, or maybe i'll just plan a trip to ohio. lol.

they've been reported here i just dont know if they've made it this far north. there are other types that grow here other than ovoids, so im not gonna limit myself to just ovoids.
