I will be Tripping for the First Time on Sunday, What Should I Know?
    #25956830 -

Two months ago, through casual browsing on the internet I took up a fascination with Psilocybin. I decided to grow my own magic mushrooms because all of the research and anecdotal accounts suggesting that they could help depression. I have also had a lifelong interest in altering my perceptions and experiencing seemingly magical things. I hope to use this trip to better understand myself and improve my outlook on life. I'm sure I may be a little ambitious in that regard.

I plan on setting up a hammock next to a creek near where I live and consuming 20 grams of fresh mushrooms, and plan on taking a trip sitter. I am at a good place in my life and I feel very excited for the experience. What could you recommend for me going into the psychedelic realm for the first time in my life?

Honestly, 20 grams fresh p cubensis isn’tlikely  going to be enough for a good trip of the sort you appear to be looking for.  Take 40 grams is my advice.

okay well first thing you should keep in mind is that it's all just drugs, you can speculate on whether or not that stuff is actually real or not but only after the trip because that kind of stuff can make you freak out a bit. still it's good to ponder these things in the moment

Next you are going to want to pack things that you think you'll need that will make you feel comfortable like water, a blanket, stuff like that.

also a tripsitter would be a good idea but if you think you can handle it then i suggest you roll solo because as you said you want to understand yourself and if you get a tripsitter get someone who is experienced because i had a bad sitter once who didn't know much about shrooms and trust me its not fun, being alone ensures that there is no one there to intervene and mess up a perfectly good trip, they might even make the trip worse if they don't know what they are doing LOL do what you think is best though!

As for the tripping, things can get unpredictable so set and setting is important, make sure you are in a great mood! psilocybin hits pretty hard kind of like in waves, the come up can bring on some anxiety but when you get over that then you are GOLDEN 👌

you might start to laugh and that's completely natural just go with the flow and laugh about the little things, i recommend going with the flow and letting go, if you fight back it'll make it a bad trip, completely resist to the mushroom, this is advice for a higher dose but still this can bring some peace of mind, closed eye visuals are pretty awesome so try that out if you want haha, also you might start feeling like a baby, i dont know why this happens but I think of it as bliss that we felt as young children.

remember how I said things can get unpredictable, well keep that in mind because when i went into higher doses i saw/felt things that nobody prepared me for.

also I'll just add this little note for your future trips if you end up wanting to keep exploring

1-2 dried grams - gentle and fun, feels like you are at the steering wheel of a car. it's easier to control your mood and stuff and you can somewhat avoid a bad trip, you can still learn as much as other doses so take advantage

3.5 dried grams - things start to warp even harder and is pretty hard to control, it's like flying a rocket but not even knowing how to control it in the first place, i start feeling like a frog at this point like my skin starts feeling clammy and my hand either looks like a frog hand or multiple shrooms.

4-5 dried grams - can't really explain this level but closed eye visuals appear to be real, at this point its like being strapped outside the rocket with no way of steering

6+ dried grams - the rocket ceases to exist, everything going on is all in your head at this point, you pretty much teleport to a different dimension and this is where you can hear psilocybin speak!

hope this helped, have a good and safe trip! :grin: :mushroom2:

P.S i agree with the guy above me, i reccomened drying them first and foremost so it's easier to weigh and there is no way of telling how much psilocybin is even in the shrooms i say start off strong but not too slow, maybe 25 to 30 fresh is your best bet

Go in with no expectations, don't try to force anything. Kick back, let go, and let your thoughts come and drift away like water down a stream. Latching to thoughts closes your mind and can direct you down a rocky path, letting go opens you up to the ineffable.

If you aren’t already gay, the shrooms will more than likely turn you gay.

It’s a proven fact, so be prepared for that.

Happy Trails!!! :mushroom2:

Super proud of you for choosing to grow your own, and succeeding!
Fresh is the way to fly, 20g fresh sounds perfect. :thumbup:

Thank you guys for all of the advice so far! I’m a supreme lightweight, I’m pretty sure it’s my metabolism, so I’m pretty sure 20 fresh grams will be stronger than you’d anticipate for me. I’ll be sure to bring a blanket, and I’ve prepared my trip sitter to completely leave my alone during the experience unless I need help.

Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

20grams fresh seems like a good start dose. If you are growing you can easily bump it up next time. Bring some music and drawing stuff if you are into that.

I took an 8th my first time. I feel like, if its going to be your first time experiencing something like this.. it's going to be one of your most remembered one.

Because you will never have experienced something like this in the magnitude. An 8th is a great starting dose. Because you will be completely submerged, but not too deep.

Ypu seem like you're going in it with positive energy and curiosity. You will enjoy yourself very much. Safe travels to you!!!!

20g fresh of cubes will be good outdoors. Don’t eat anything for about 2-3hours before. I know I already mentioned it, but bring juicy types of fruit you like for later on and Plenty of water.

Different layers of clothing depending on weather... loose fitting, so you can remove and add at will.

Don’t be afraid to get up and walk around a bit if you feel like it, but let your sober sitter make final decisions on where and how far and when to come back.

Go with the flow. Don’t resist anything.

Don’t smoke any weed until like 4-5 hours into it, if it all.

Take a week or so off and reflect a bit, then eat moar shrooms!  :mushroom2:

Since you mention being interested because of depression, Are you on any meds at all?

Dont let anyone "trip" you. You have a dick and balls i assume? In a tight or saggy nutsack i presume? If so, go in at it ALONE.

Something there is mysteriously formed,
Existing before Heaven and Earth,
Silent, still, standing alone, unchanging,
All-pervading, unfailing,
I do not know its name; I call it tao.
If forced to give it a name, I call it
Great (ta). Being great, it flows out;
Flowing out means far-reaching;
Being far-reaching, it is said to return.

It's just a shot away..

Nope, no medication. I thought I would try these before I put myself in the hands of the SSRI

You’re going to have a great time. Nature is perfect on shroom, or shrooms are perfect in nature, not sure which one.

And on second thought I am with Bill. Take 40g fresh tonight in your room alone, unless you’re scared.  :crazy2:

Shrooms in nature is wonderfull.

Don't expect anything. Allow yourself to be a child again, exploring the beauty of nature.

You will have a good time. 20 to 25g fresh is perfect! Go to a quiet location where you don't get directly interrupted by strangers. :sun:
A carefree mind is the ticket for a good ride.

Happy travels.
