Hi,
I was just curious what a reasonable # of times to trip in a year would be? Once a month, or should it be something more special like maybe 2-4 times a year? Any imput is appreciated...

now that i have a permanent hookup, im probably gonna be tripping about 1 or 2 times every 2 weeks or so ... maybe less but from person to person its different

Hey you tryna steal my name! Err, wait, looks like youve been here longer than me. Well crap looks like I tryed to steal your name! Sorry dude.
Anyway I shroom whenever I can get em since theres never a constant supply where I live :o(. Sometimes this means a couple times a week, sometimes this means I cant trip for a few months. But if I had a constant supply I guess once a month or so, probably more at first. Dont start takin em too much though, remember to respect the lil guys and theyll treat you right.

That's to much for me. A few times per year whould be great. Be careful though and don't abuse.

Once a week when I have them. Anymore than once a week and I get a lesser quality experience, I don't like to space out my trips on purpose, I dont see any point to it. Although if I am really busy I'll go for months without shroomin just because I don't have the time.

After doing it way to often (like once weekly) I'm of the opinion that they are a bit more special than that. I'm thinking like 2-4 times a year, so you will REALLY appreciate it.

If I have a means to get my hands on fun trip (of any kind, synthetic, natural, whatever), and I have a coupla days off work, and the time feels right, then it's time to trip.

1-2 1 gram trips a month.............
1-2 2-4 gram trips a month...........
3-4 over 5 gram trips a year........

Good luck, are you dosing at home? Half an eighth you should be fine, should be a nice, mellow, thinking trip. Low doses are the best for getting things done. Do some writing, artwork... Listen to lots of cool records! And of course, sit in the dark and watch the fireworks and think!

well apparently i didnt do enough. right now i should be peaking but im barely getting threshold effects, next time im gonna need a full eighth, this is just like stoning, i can barely even call it a trip. maybe i can hopefully fall asleep...

i love how dude brings back a SEVEN YEAR OLD thread to say he needs 2.5 grams to trip. Seems the substantial bumps are always pointless posts.
Not to mention the original poster hasn't been on the shroomery for over 6 years.

It depends on what type of tripping you're talking about. Like L, I've done as frequently as once a month, but then there are things like DMT, which I'd probably only do once a decade if even that much lol.
I guess in the end it all depends on your physiology as well as how it affects you mentally. For some, it can even help to take L in therepeutic doses once every few days, while for others this may just drive them insane. Don't worry about what others are doing, and Id say listen to what you're body is saying to you at the time. If its a fine day to drop some L or shrooms, then so be it. But don't force trips to happen based on timeframe. Timing and inner wellbeing is a big portion to having a good trip overall.

You have to be aware, that each trip digs deep into your subconsciousness. You have to integrate the experience and not shake it up every week. A sensible number would be 3-4 times a year. In my opinion it is a mistake to do that casual tripping because you are bored or whatnot. Pick a special event like a festival or a beautiful summer day and then go deep. After that take your time to integrate, understand what the mushroom wants to teach you and improve your life during your sober time. Repeat after a few months. I definitely feel, when the mushroom spirit calls me again.
