But I keep them fresh, just in case.  That six month old one is the best of the bunch, and while I have a slant of it, I’m still loathe to lose the original genetics.  Everything else is cycled out in two or three months.

and I cut those two slices at an angle, so they meet in the middle and cut a 3D triangle shaped wedge.

I slice that wedge like a loaf of bread, and then stab the center of the individual slices to transfer.

Most of my fruits were small and hard to work with. I did get some larger ones on second flush but already dehydrated them. I was going to take a break from cultivating so just put the shoebox outside and it’s got a few small fruits now. Later I decided it would be best to at least have a culture on a plate for later use instead of restarting from me. I might try to work with some small fruits again.

If they're that small I would just find a little pin to clone and put the whole thing agar. The mycelium goes fast from them. You can transfer the new growth away from any contaminants.
