Contamination or mycelium piss

i have those 100% colonization in my incubator tub in tub and im just waiting 1 more weekto birth them  just spoted these yellow contam but it not look so intense i saw my thermometer and it was 82F









is that from high temperature

Looks like 'metabolites' to me.

Incubation is completely unnecessary. You're asking for contamination with those high temps.

The foil that is on has 4 holes

Take the foil off, I've made the same mistake, it restricts GE (Gas Exchange)

Do you not have lids with 4 holes as well and a layer of verm on top? Or are these not BRF cakes?

I can't navigate this site at all I have pictures of a lot of shrooms. I need a second ey on. I posted some pictures. Not sure if they uploaded. And I don't know where to go to ask for help. Thanks for any help.

I hate when people refer to metabolites as "myc piss". Mycelium doesnt piss or shit for that matter.
What temperature is it in the room that you store your TiT? Seems pointless to use ANY incubator especially if your room is a comfortable room temp.

Then really no need for the foil. The verm has you protected.

65-75 F is acceptable grow temp. From what I understand, any thing over 75 f encourages bacteria growth.

Most people encourage heating the room not the grow.

The room temp is 15C i got problems on fruiting too thats why i got the TiT

Keep the towel off, myc likes light. Colonizing in the dark is an outdated idea.

Incubators are unnecesary, they like room temp.

If it were me I would get a space heater in the room that has a thermostat and shuts off when set to something like 72 degrees (22C). Use a SGFC for the birthed cakes and your set.:thumbup:

Pretty sure this term "piss" is a way for people without the correct information to say that it's "OK" without understanding what's happening. I also think this term originates from Reddit, which is really just a den of mostly poorly informed people acting like gurus. People will post the nastiest pictures there and get responses "just myc piss, it's fine." Like, no dude, that indicates bacteria.

Anyways!

To everyone confused with the foil: These are glasses, not jars. There's no lid. The foil is the lid. I bet the OP is from the UK or somewhere else where jars mason jars aren't common like they are in the US. It works, but it's not the best option. In this case the OP DOES NEED THE FOIL.

Good luck OP. Looks like you have a bit of bacteria in your cakes. Should still get a flush, maybe two, if you birth it.

This is true. RR has stated that mycelium need light radiation in all stages of growth.

OP you can just leave your jars on a shelf in a room temperature room and they will colonize better than in that tub with foil and a towel

OP, please don't remove the foil if these are glasses and not mason jars with proper lids.

Do remove the towel and give it proper light though.

Appreciate the agreement straight mush, but if Shaper's guess(above) is right about a european with out lids, the foil may be necessary in this case.
