Cauterization of Contaminated Mycelium

I have a cauterizing probe, and it gets quite hot. Would this work to seal the mycelium after getting rid of an isolated contam???

Why would you put so much effort into saving contaminated substrate? It's clearly not worth the effort and it will cause alot of stress to the mycelium network not letting it fruit at it's full potential. :tongue:

I personally throw away anything that is or might be contaminated. In theory the cauterization would work but you'd be better of starting some new substrate...
