Preferring LSD to Mushrooms

Does anybody prefer LSD to psilocybin? I mostly see people favor mushrooms for going 'deep', but I also feel like some of the most profound and powerful experiences I've ever had are from intense, intense LSD peaks. I feel like acid's weirdness is underestimated a lot compared to mushrooms, I could not imagine what a 5-strip of potent blotter would even do. But perhaps there are diminishing returns going beyond 200 mic.

LSD is childs play compared to IV  DMT, once you get that deep you can start dimension hopping, but if your a noob start with some bridgesii cactus, its easier to get and its legal to grow in most places, its more gentle then acid at the 300-400 MG range, but try 1000mg if you want to see god.

I do.

You can go just as deep with either medicine, neither one is stronger, just different.

A phrase ive always loved is 'with lsd youre the driver, with mushrooms youre the passenger'.

Some people connect with lsd more because they like to analyze their psyche, lsd is a psyche analyzer, helps you work out incongruency in your mind.

Mushrooms can be very uncompassionate towards you for many reasons, they are sacred teachers that will show you what you need to see, and if youre not ready to accept the truth about yourself or the world, they will have no compassion for your immaturity or lack of preparation.

The mushroom spirit is a very serious medicine and should be taken very seriously.

Having had spiritual experiences on just 2 tabs, and having had spiritual experiences on 10 tabs, and also much more...

I can say 100% the returns are not diminishing.

Maybe even more rewarding

For me psilocin offers the full psychedelic experience.

LSD does not and I always come away feeling like I didn't get to where I wanted to be. Even if I crank the dose right up. I always feel somewhat dissatisfied.

Then on top of that I'm left losing my mind from insomnia after LSD. Even if I drop early morning. This doesn't happen on mushrooms. With mushrooms I'm able to sleep within two hours of coming down. Really need to get some xanax for after LSD. I'll order some tomorrow as I'm dropping next weekend.

Psilocin is preferable in all ways. Deep, funny, beautiful, rich, insightful.

LSD feels like I've taken the the PG-13 psychedelic where as psilocin feels like I've taken the rated R psychedelic.

its not an actual LSD trip until its 1000ug or higher IME. thats what i lay my tabs at.

Really depends on my mood. I can either prefer LSD or Shrooms.

For me, shrooms are more "mind-friendly", which is why its my go-to for me. LSD is great, don't get me wrong, but sometimes it can be pretty draining, even at medium doses.

Never experienced anything profound and spiritual on LSD. It's just the same effects over and over. My highest dose is 380-400ug (accurate not BS).

Shrooms on the other hand... :trippy:

If you don't prefer LSD, have you still done it a fair amount?

Many people I've met who talk about LSD not having much of an effect or much profoundness are people who have done the drug a ton, often throughout small periods of time. With months between trips, I still find that there's something there.

Can't say I prefer one over the other, both have taken me deep, both have raped my soul and healed my mind. I will say that I find mushrooms easier to go deep on and more likely to obliterate the ego at normal doses.

I don't really prefer any one psychedelic over another or feel any one psychedelic is "better" than another...They're just different. They absolutely all have something to offer...I feel each psychedelic involves different "channels" or "circuits" or different aspects of our mind/consciousness.

....though I do prefer certain psychedelics for certain specific settings and uses. If I'm having a solo trip at home I'll likely chose a moderate to heavy dose of mushrooms...If I'm going to a show/festival/gatherings where I'm going to be dancing a lot, I'll take a light to moderate dose of mushrooms (mushrooms are my favorite thing to dance on, by far)....If I'm having a small get-together with some friends we'll dose some LSD....If I want to trip and watch a fireworks show where I'll have to be high/tripping face in public and around a bunch of random people that are "sober", I will take LSD and NOT MUSHROOMS....LSD is nice for "public" tripping (museums, shows of different sorts, symphonies, etc) I tend to remain very clear/functional and present and comfortable with myself when high in public on L (at least below 150mcg lol).



They all go "deep" in different ways...they all feel "powerful" in different ways.



If I had to choose only one psychedelic to work with for the rest of my life it would be mushrooms though....mushrooms do hold a special place in my heart and have played a big role in shaping me into who I am today. They give me a certain warm & soulful feel, cosmic feels, that I don't get from LSD.

Same here lol.

The very most LSD I've taken with zero tolerance in all my psychedelic travels over the years is around 350mcg....and considering how high I am with that dose, and considering how much "farther out" that dose gets me compared to 200mcg/two strong tabs, I can not imagine what 500mcg+ is like.

I honestly don't have much interest in going beyond 500mcg, but I do want to take a 5 strip of solid doses/500mcg some day.

As far as diminishing returns beyond 200mcg..I can't speak from experience with high doses...But I feel there would still be a big difference between 200mcg and 300mcg, and likely a big difference between 300mcg and 500mcg.

I've only tried LSD once. It was okay. I had a handful of mushroom trips under my belt before the LSD trip. I had intentions on having the same effect. It does in a way.. but it just doesn't give me that majestic feeling. It's very odd to explain . .

It gives a false sense of reward (dopamine activity) rather than legitimate rewards.  Makes it very useful therapeutically for end of life situations where rewards seem impossible or other such situations that need support to overcome daily triggers of hopelessness that can't be changed where mushrooms are better for things that can be let go like abuse trauma or other such least incidents that cling to the present... I theorize it could make one much more susceptible to hypnosis more so than DMT type compounds that lack the dopamine activity.

Although LSD is superior in 1 way....the comeup. It's much more gentle coming up on LSD than mushrooms. Everytime I come up on mushrooms it picks me apart and I find myself telling myself I'm a loser, I suck, I'm a fuckup...etc...but it ALWAYS picks me back up and gives me the most amazing experience.

Once you're out of the mushrooms comeup, it's all good from there.

Fun fact..nushrooms are atleast 250 million years older than plants. That boggles my mind.

I've let both drugs take me to some pretty intense places. That said, I prefer LSD. Just something about the state of mind it puts me in, I absolutely love it.

I consider myself a connesseur of all things psychoactive and of all the drugs I've done LSD is my #1. The length of trip, the more neonish colored visual, the mindsat you get on it, everything is awesome.

Mushrooms have taken me to some dark places and I have a much deeper respect for them. They are not to be trifled with (neither is I suppose).

With LSD your driving the rocket, with mushrooms your just tied up to the outside and go where it wants you to go.

Isn't that the truth? I've had a trip before on two tabs that ended up being intense, but I didn't even notice I came up until I 'woke up' halfway into the first track on Magical Mystery Tour like an hour later, not even recalling turning on the music or sitting down or anything.

Whereas when I listened to Revolver coming up on mushrooms, I was immediately hit by the uncomfortable sensation of the music simultaneously speeding up and slowing down, followed by the voices warping and dark fractals in my vision about 20 minutes later.

I love mushrooms, though.

I love both.

But mushrooms (as well as psilo- and ayahuasca) touch me way deeper than lsd.
I prefere mushrooms (or oral dmt) when I trip alone. It truly touches my heart and I always lears sth about myself.

Not that I don't learn sth on lsd, though. But lsd is more recreational for me. It's way more predictable and suitable for going out. For me.

There are legal mescaline cactuses (in America)?

I'm interested. I am starting a garden and I heard that peyote takes like 5 years to grow and it's illegal. If there are other cactuses which can be purchased and transferred and won't make me vomit out my guts then what are their specific names???

Trichocereus cacti are the ones you are looking for. Look for Trichocereus pachanoi, T.peruvianus, T.bridgesii, T.scopulicola, .. just to name a few. :tongue2:
They are often refered as "SanPedro" cactus. Legal to buy and grow as ornamental plants. Potent plants contain almost as much mescaline as peyote, and they grow like a trip worth per year per collum.

Get a handfull or more of those plants, plant them and start a cactus garden. You can easily clone a plant and make three plants out of one within a year or two.
In a couple of years you'll have more mescaline than you can ever take.. and a new hobby (cactus farming!). But don't tell anyone about their little secret. :smirk:
