No offense, but not likely.

If you're referring to a separable gelatinous pellicle, the mushroom in your pictures doesn't have one.

You're more than likely just peeling the skin off the cap, which is different.

Which species described by stamets are you referring to?

Duggstar is TI material, he should have a tag.

This is the most beautiful specimen of p cubensis I have found in months.  Nothing like the springtime monsters we all look forward to but still.  A dense, solid fruit with intense bruising at the stem.  I can tell from looking at it it is potent.  One would feel this mushroom.  I canโ€™t wait to eat it, I wish I could eat it fresh but Iโ€™m not tripping again for another week.

Edit: itโ€™s in the dehydrator now

TI=trusted identifier.  Look underneath docโ€™s avatar.  When one of these guys ids the mushroom in your pic you can be fairly confident in what they say, especially if theyโ€™re identifying it as an active

Duggstar  I compared it to the species you posted  and it dose have qualities that resemble it. But it was about a foot from cow dung and maybe 30 ft from a dead tree out in the middle of the field.  in short grass and it had sand in the base.
