Central Florida rain question...

It has not rained in central florida for at least a month or so. Now it is raining a nice continual rain this evening, and has been for hours. Rain is also forecasted for tomorrow.
My question is this: Since it has been dry as hell for a whole month, will it take longer than usual for mushrooms to pop up? Thanks, godspeed, (and godcocaine) to all HUnTerZZ!!!

i think it takes longer for them to come up, BuT depending on all of the other conditions- humidity, temperature, etc.. it might not take longer?

I was thinking that everything needs to get re-hydrated and get going again. Seems to me that a month-long sun-baked cow turd might not even have any myceillium left alive in it. I don't know, that's why I'm asking? I'm saying, would this month long drought that happened have fucked up the shrooms myceilial networks, so that perhaps new germinations might even need to happen before any mushrooms come? Or, are we On fo' 'dis weekend mang???!!

im not sure about the mycelium of psilocybe species but in poland after a long drought, if it rains heavily, there have been many occasions in which the mushroom populations exploded and people came home with trunkloads of mushrooms in their cars. my best guess is that this is a good time to go out hunting as any other. so pick me up, i dont have any rides and i wanna go so bad im about to steal a car.

Sorry it took me a while to get back here. I am on the East coast central, but when I go down to Sarasota I'll be going past Tampa and could swing by. It's all dependant of gaz money, and so i won't be going till mid-week sometime. I hope it rains again in the mean time. I hear thunder around here right now.

Yea so we went out to look, and headed toward the christmas area, but stopped a little before because we found a field that looked awesome, we scoped it out and it was a go, well i am going through the woods when i come up on a mystry barb wire fence, i crawl through it and i hear my friends further down in the field already, thye got through without having to go under any fence. The point iam getting at is haha it was an abandoned field with no cows, and the fence had fallen where they went through. Just one more attempt incomplete, we have gone looking 4 or 5 times and each time we are unsuccessfull, maybe its because we are too scared, i don't know. We were so pissed we were just going to buy some, but i wouldn't let us because buying something you can find semi-easily is stupid. aight guys good luck, i might try going out again tonight if anyone is down.

I know of a nice stretch of road in Christmas with cow fields all along it. I have found cubies there before already too (last year). I wont be going out tonight though, I'm already drinking. PM me if you wanna hook up and raid that field like tomorrow night.
