They don't have to hack much.  They watch traffic.

There is no direct internet traffic largely.  Goes through so many different companies.  Stringray is one way.

It's so complex it's assumed by military's that no word is unherd.  That's why they change lingo and stay fresh.

That's my thought

It seems Wikileaks actions were an unwitting and niave gift to the Russian government, I bet they are still laughing about them doing their dirty work for free.

Revenge takes time.

The sanctions are cutting ties with their elite or what we figure is their elite.

The sanctions IS cutting ties with the elite.  Of course they could still be useful for intelligence.  That's the backdoor stuff.

Anyhow not sure how CIA trained Trump was or is.  It expresses a lot of undesirable traits of the human and animal psyche.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/427178-us-officially-lifts-sanctions-on-firms-tied-to-russian-oligarch
The U.S. Treasury Department on Sunday officially lifted sanctions on businesses tied to the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.

The department said in a news release that the Office of Foreign Assets Control lifted sanctions on EN+ Group Plc and EuroSibEnergo JSC, noting that each company has reduced Deripaska's "direct and indirect shareholding stake in these companies and severed his control."

"This action ensures that the majority of directors on the En+ and Rusal boards will be independent directors – including U.S. and European persons – who have no business, professional, or family ties to Deripaska or any other SDN, and that independent U.S. persons vote a significant bloc of the shares of En+," the department said.

"The companies have also agreed to unprecedented transparency for Treasury into their operations by undertaking extensive, ongoing auditing, certification, and reporting requirements."

Deripaska, who is connected to Russian President Vladimir Putin, will personally remain under U.S. sanctions.

The Trump administration announced in December that it would relax sanctions on businesses connected to Deripaska. The decision led to outrage from Democratic lawmakers, with Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) asking if the U.S. thinks it "should go easy on Putin and his cronies?"

Democrats in Congress attempted to block the move. But Senate Republicans were able to defeat the measure and prevent it from advancing to a floor vote earlier this month.

The agreement the Treasury Department reached with Deripaska included having him cut his direct and indirect share ownership for each company below 50 percent.

But The New York Times reported last week that Deripaska and his allies are set to retain majority ownership the energy company EN+.

Among other things, Deripaska will also reportedly be freed from debt he owes to a Russian government-owned bank as long as he transfers shares worth roughly $800 million to it. ..

That's the root of subversion of a 'free market'.

Trying to uproot that is.

This is how many wars have started.  Royalty used to be inherited a bit more.  More or less.

When a man with a large web falls, a lot of other people fall as well.  A sin of having idols and no other means in your head of surviving 'well' more or less.

Like bosses or parents.  Teachers or whatnot.

That's sometimes why I remember dreams I had young.  Or dreams now of being young.  The cold war made the 80s not such a nice place.

Russians are very very capable as are Chinese.  Russians just mingle with Europeans more.  It's a long history of king of the castle.

People aren't used to taking losses.  Such as 9-11, it was connected to a lot of industry leadership.  That was a small hit two.

Three nukes could do a lot of damage to the US fleet.  More or less.  That's why boomers always stay out.  They might of stopped bombers from carrying nukes all the time, but boomers are out.

Nobody is that sure they would get away with it.  So cloak and dagger ego maneuvers are standard.

I think people don't even realize they do that.  It's dangerous making moves.  I don't think people express enough soulful content.  Some of us grew up on a lot of junk.  So I don't really get high class culture.  Like a lot of Russians grew up looking up at.

Soviets really but at the heart Russia ruled that.

I think mueller is acutely aware the consequences of indicting Trump’s family members. Trumps reaction to that will be violent and irrational. He may likely try to fire mueller and anyone who gets in his way. I think those indictments will come in one fell swoop with the release of his report. Don jr clearly lied in his testimony to the senate about the identity of the blocked number he called before and after the trump tower meeting.

The GOP senate judiciary committee has acknowledged it has sent multiple criminal referrals to Mueller based on testimony it believes was inaccurate. We don’t know whose testimony.

Has anybody around him not been indicted yet. Well not his son or his son in law so far, but I will take a bet with anybody on this forum that they are both going to prison.

Apparently the house intel committee is non functional right now because the GOP hasn’t assigned anyone to it. It’s an obvious stall tactic.

https://www.salon.com/2019/01/27/are-republicans-keeping-house-intelligence-committee-unstaffed-to-slow-mueller-investigation/

Quote:
House Republicans are refusing to name members to the House Intelligence Committee and, in the process, are effectively stalling special counsel Robert Mueller's ongoing investigation into the Trump-Russia scandal.

After pointing out that the arrest of former Trump adviser Roger Stone last week had been possible because the House Intelligence Committee provided a transcript of Stone's testimony to the special counsel's office, MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow explained on Friday that the committee could also provide transcripts for testimony from other current and former Trump officials. If it was revealed to Mueller that they had lied under oath, he could file criminal charges against those individuals and perhaps acquire more information about the president in the process.

The catch, though, is that House Republicans have been slow to assign members to the committee.

Presidents are supposed to be graceful.  Sometimes America ain't that though.

It's a tense county right now.  It a lot of ways it just takes healthy processing and purging if needed.

I wonder how much coffee till I puke.  I smoke and drink coffee and nothing else lately.  Had a great dump but that's that cracker jack.

That's the problem.

When are those previously disengaged going to realise that this isnt fiddlesticks and that the things said by people in these positions matter.

You are allowed to let your anti establishment thoughts flourish and still understand the need for a certain sense of modicum when dealing with such large issues.

It reminds me of once when we had a students In charge day, was great fun.

No, not at all like yelling 'bomb' in an airport or 'fire' in a theater.

It sounds like you're ok with Hillary deleting her emails after getting a subpoena by the FBI.  Is that accurate?

Stone tells funny jokes to people about to testify to Congress

Quote:
You are a rat. A stoolie. You backstab your friends — run your mouth my lawyers are dying Rip you to shreds,” Stone allegedly told Credico, in addition to threatening to “take that dog away from you.”
