It wasn’t even a free speech thing, I don’t think, those subreddits had long runs.

Eventually some geniuses were using them to sell drugs through Reddit itself, and ruined it for everyone.  :shake:

Oh, kay...  no "sourcing and soliciting" was already enforced certain places, but Reddit made it official?

Swore I read people were actually selling drugs on the website, and that contributed to some bannings. Maybe it ain't have shit to do with shit. :justdontknow:

You can’t stop the internet.  If you’re upset at losing backpage and Craigslist, just use listcrawler.  It’s the website the cops are making busts on here where I live.  Apparently everyone on backpage just moved there.

It can't really be a first amendment thing because craigslist is a company, not any kind of government funded entity. I think the decision might be related to the "Craigslist killer", and widespread prostitution on there. They just don't want to be responsible for it.

I've found strage postings on craigslist that seem to be generated by a computer. They come across as well organized nonsense. I'll see if I can find any and post one here. They're creepy.

No. Craigslist got rid of their personals because they are afraid they could be held criminally liable due to the activities the posters were engaged in.
