craigslist fucking rocks man i havent seen that many listings for free in a long time. and alot of stuff i want.

only problem are the damn rip-off motherfuckers trying to scam you with their phony cashiers check scheemes.

I use newyork.craigslist.com all the time when I want to swap concert tickets..it's so fucking great. I can meet someone who lives 20 blocks north of me, meet up with them in front of a random bodega, swap tickets for one night for tickets to the next, easy peesy japanesey.

using the craigslist of the denver/boulder area. there's some great housing listings.

it's a nice site, but i'd never get a used couch for free from there! the personals section also creeps me out...

well...there was this 19" monitor listed for free...on the seattle craigslist.

it said...free 19" monitor...we just bought a new flat screen and don't need this one anymore...it works great...address of the place....first person to come get it...it's yours.

It was like 4 miles away...so I jumped in the car...drove over there as fast as I could.
There is this sweet looking 19" Mitsubishi monitor sitting near the curb with a FREE sign taped to it.
So I stop the car in the middle of the road...jump out...and grab the thing and put it in the back seat of my car...and take off.
Heavy ass monitor...I tell ya.
I'm all excited...score!~

I get home and tell the girl friend...man this is a nice 19" monitor...looks real clean.
I take it out of the car and lug it up my long set of stairs...into the house.
Turn off my pc...and take it apart and connect the FREE 19" monitor up.
You get where I'm going with this?
Nothing...it didn't fucking work.  :crazy:
Screwed!~!~!~

They fucking hosed me...they gave away a (free) broken 19" monitor to get some sucker like me to come get rid of it for them...and he wouldn't know it didn't work til after he got home with it.
Why would they do that?
Because the City of Seattle charges you up the fucking ass for garbage...and the monitor would be an extra charge added onto the garbage bill.

So I'm thinking...I'm not going to take this crap!~
I'm going over there at 5am on the way to drop the girl friend off at work.
I'm 6' tall...220 pounds...and pretty strong.
I'm going to hold the fucking monitor up over my head...and slam it into their drive way...as hard as I can...breaking it into little peices all over their nice drive way.

Then slowly drive away!~  :smirk:

Do not go pick up free monitors off the craigslist and expect to get a good one.

Lesson learned!~

I love this site. I rented a room from a lady in an awesome house I found on there for cheap..shes a stunt double and has a bunch of horses and I go riding and chill by the pool in our backyard and garden and tend to my cacti. kekekeke
