last year i found some LC's ... around 20 or so of them in a small patch... they never bruised but they were still psychoactive... is it possible that LC's might not bruise sometimes? or could they have been pelliculosa?

Liberty caps do not generally go row in patches. They are spread around in a field form here to there adn do not grow directly from manure.

They can also be found in some lawns int he USA and many lawns in the British Isles.

Gold course along the Oregon coast are know for liberty caps.

Liberty caps basically implie about three different species which all macroscopically resemble one another.

P. sierrae and P. strictipes are two othe species which resemble the liberty caps in a pasture.

thanks dude, maybe they were something else... i had identified them as liberty caps though... they were in a pasture in some grass about 10 or 15 feet from an oak tree... all about 3 inches apart...
