Re: I avoid black people [Re: MarkostheGnostic]
    #25688623 -

Don't you agree that a very intelligent young man could be more mentally developed than an aging man of average intelligence?

Look, man, if the natural way that societies form over time is homogeneous then I'd prefer to promote that rather than alter it. I don't want my descendants to be genetically different from me and, whilst I don't need a reason as to why for that to be respected, my reason is that I have more in common with my European neighbour genetically and culturally than from elsewhere. Family is family, the society around you should only be an extension of that by nature. It's about having choice both ways, if you choose to love a Nigerian then I should have the choice to love my people.

To add, trying not to see race is the literal definition of denying reality.

Markos, with all due respect I fear you are adding to the confusion with statements like this. It sounds almost as though you are conflating race with species. I am under the impression that the word race is typically used to denote variations and divisions within the human species. If there is only one race, why not simply say species? I am also tempted to ask why the human species counts as a race according to you but chimpanzees apparently don't. Are chimpanzees not also a race then? What definition of race are you using? I can't find it in the dictionary.

I for one endeavor to exceed the limitations of base humanity with its petty hatreds, greed and war. My personal development is not yet another iteration of the slow-to-grow humanity that we see evidenced by those <100 IQ voters who support that POS puppet POTUS in the White House. No, humans are NOT born racist, they are taught by their morally and intellectually bereft parents. Just so you know, I do not need your respect. In fact, I do I want anything to do with parochial-minded tribal townie types (especially those types with a battle flag of North Virginia hanging in his bedroom or truck). I am a liberal, pacifist, vegetarian, heterosexual, Social Democratic monogamist with a Jewish soul and Christian spirit whose lifestyle has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment and who sees ammosexuality as a particularly perverse paraphilia. Just FYI. Feel free to put me on your Ignore list. :yesnod:

Consider proof-reading your final draft.

'Nurture,' not nature.

It might be nice if you offered some proof for your claims. We know humans have a tendency to self segregate. I question whether that is only because their parents taught them to do so. I was never taught any form of racism as a child by morally or intellectually bereft parents. I grew up not knowing about any differences between races. However, as I got older through my experiences I came to believe in the reality of group differences. Just to give one small example I noticed that Africans tend to be taller and physically stronger than Japanese.

I went to a high school in a wealthy neighborhood. It wasn't a school with heated racial tensions or anything like that. In fact I don't recall hearing a single negative thing said about the black students the entire time I was there. However, the black students and white students segregated themselves. There were black tables at lunch and white tables at lunch. The blacks had their own social hierarchy with their own popular kids. It was the same at the college I went to and it's pretty much the same where I currently work. It's not that the blacks and whites don't get along or don't ever mix. Sometimes blacks and whites do sit together. I'm quite friendly with some of the blacks that work there, as are many of my white coworkers. But there is definitely a tendency toward segregation. A lot of my black coworkers for example, go to all black churches. They listen to all black music. Is that because of their racist morally bereft parents? I question why teenage kids would all be so eager to follow their parents in this regard when they are often so rebellious in other matters.

And lastly, regarding that nurture, not nature picture I think this is a false dichotomy. It's not one or the other, but both nurture AND nature that go into making people who they are. If you look at studies of identical twins who were separated at birth for example, they will often display incredible similarities despite being raised in very different environments. To me this suggests that our genetic makeup plays a very important role in how we develop.

those black parents are morally bereft, by Markos's standard (clearly, and self-evidently, this isn't a personalism). admitting things are more complicated than the "my way or the high way" type of mentality being adopted here isn't going to happen. when one fetches bombastic photos of some baby in a costume, to show that white people do that kind of thing that people do in all races, as all races contain people who want racial segregation or dominance, you know one is working from a completely biased and blinded standpoint.

and i ask, what is Socialization?

is it nature, or nurture?

can any leftist answer me that?

no. you won't.

It's okay, be disgusted. It's only your disgust after all. Simply because people see different groups of people doesn't mean they wish harm on any of them.

I don't know what it's really like over there in the States and no doubt it varies wildly from region to region, but here where I live in Australia we're a big melting pot of different cultures and I've never felt any racism towards or from anyone. My kids have friends of different ethnicities as do I, there just really isn't an issue.

One time when I jumped online though and found myself in a group of black Americans I was being attacked on all sides and accused of all sorts of privilege and racism that quite simply don't exist, and then being accused of being ignorant because I don't even know about all this stuff I'm not. The clear prejudice against me was intolerable, there was no reasoning with it either. If that experience that I had online is what OP is experiencing in real day to day living I can totally understand where he is coming from. I too would avoid most black people. Not because I'm racist, just simple emotional self preservation.

Look at how slavery is brought up, black lives matter, and privilege. These people don't take into account how small the US population was. Then subtract all the nonslave owners and people who helped slaves escape. Privilege? Like my great grand parents growing button mushrooms so they could put some form of protein in their bodies. Scooping horse shit off the streets to grow them. Or my grandfather digging graves for a dime at 12yrs old. Really want to piss off a African who moved to America?  Call him a african American and watch out! They hate african american's culture. Which should tell you something. I have lived in hoods of every color. Spoiler alert african Americans are loud, obnoxious, confrontational, and never have fair fights.....ever. Hispanics are cool, never had any beef. We knew each other's name and would share a drink and a smoke. Asian are cool to, though they tend to keep to themselves. You can denied this shit but you probably have never lived in any ghettos. Scared?  Get 2 big ass dogs and teach them Schutzhund. My preference is Bane dogs.

I am mixed raced, My mom is half English half German, my dad is black, I love that i got to grow up around 2 different cultures, i love both sides of my family equally.

Its a shame some people seem to have negative stereotypes towards a single race, Not all black people live in the hood and listen to rap music and not all black people who do live in the hood and do listen to rap music fit your stereotype, There are plenty of good kind hearted black people that do live in the hood, There are plenty of misguided, frustrated hopeless and angry black people too and also white people in the same boat.

These poverty area's tend to instill the same negative angry mentality into the majority of its occupants in a vicious circle, Seeing my older brother in and out of jail and the stress and heartache that put my parents through made me as the youngest brother want a change. I remember a time when i was hopeless in poverty contemplating crime as my only exit plan, in fact when i was younger i did commit some petty crimes to make ends meet, I never had anybody to instill in me the belief that i could become anything i wanted, i was always given the impression becoming something like a doctor is something beyond the realms of possibility, growing up and having a nice house and a nice car was something i never dreamed was possible. When you have no hope and no belief that you can accomplish something it kills your desire and spirit to pursue such a thing We were always taught  that life was hard, there were no opportunities for us and the only role models and opportunities we could see were the drug dealers and criminals, it was the only thing we could look at and think that was something we could practical do without the need of help from anybody else.

Looking back now at the age of 33, i find it insane that i had this mentality back then, i look back at that young kid like its a totally different person, i wish i could go back and instill the things that i know now, if i could go back to school i would do things totally different i now believe i could have absolutely become a doctor had i put my mind to it. There is a reason there are so many African Nigerian black doctors, they are raised having been instilled with the belief that its not only possible but for many expected, many of these black kids in the "hood" are of the exact same origin yet none of them are becoming doctors, this should tell you its not their skin color holding them back and making them turn to crime its the mentality instilled in them from their environment.

Instead of people avoiding each other, we need more people doing the exact opposite reminding us that we are all the same, i was fortunate enough to have seen two sides of life being mixed race, i saw people doing well and i saw people in the hood, seeing people doing well in my family made me not like growing up in the hood, made me want more from life, made me realize things i thought were not possible for me actually were possible for me. had i not had a positive influence like this i believe i would have 100% have been doomed to the same fate as most of the other people i grew up around, The biggest turning point for me was having a drug induced spiritual awakening, that truly showed me anything was possible and since then my life took a complete 180 for the better.

Its like when you watch these talk shows, women in abusive relationships, let people treat them like crap, have no self love, always attract negative partners, Often people in the audience are looking at them like omg you are beautiful why do you continue to let this person treat you this way, you are worth so much more, you could do so much better, its extremely difficult to instill in such a person their true self worth when they are hopeless and have none. They don't truly believe they can do any better, they don't believe they have any value etc, its exactly the same phenomenon happening in these poverty areas, people have no sense of worth, no love for them self or others, they think the world is against them, this is exactly how i was raised to think. Telling people like this they can do better no matter how obvious it may be to you as an outsider is seemingly impossible for them to see for them selves, and in hindsight as somebody who eventually " saw the light" its crazy looking back at the old me who was stuck in that negative state of mind.

The worst thing somebody could have done was avoid me, brand me a racist, look down on me like i was a piece of crap etc. What i needed was help, positive role models, people to instill belief, love and worthiness even when i couldn't see it my self, And that;'s exactly what i try and do to all the young people i see stuck in the same frame of mind i have been fortunate enough to have overcome.

Markos, with all due respect I fear you are adding to the confusion with statements like this. It sounds almost as though you are conflating race with species. I am under the impression that the word race is typically used to denote variations and divisions within the human species. If there is only one race, why not simply say species?

In Marko's defense I present CHARLES DARWIN, On the Origin of Species link:

"...varieties are species in the process of formation, or are, as I have called them, incipient species."

In context:

"In the first place, varieties, even strongly-marked ones, though having somewhat of the character of species as is shown by the hopeless doubts in many cases how to rank them yet certainly differ from each other far less than do good and distinct species. Nevertheless, according to my view, varieties are species in the process of formation, or are, as I have called them, incipient species. How, then, does the lesser difference between varieties become augmented into the greater difference between species? That this does habitually happen, we must infer from most of the innumerable species throughout nature presenting well-marked differences; whereas varieties, the supposed prototypes and parents of future well-marked species, present slight and ill-defined differences. Mere chance, as we may call it, might cause one variety to differ in some character from its parents, and the offspring of this variety again to differ from its parent in the very same character and in a greater degree; but this alone would never account for so habitual and large an amount of difference as that between varieties of the same species and species of the same genus."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we're discussing different species within the genus or race.

Marko's point, then, is surely a semantic one? It's obvious that we're different, whether you want to call that race or species is arbitrary to the point.

As far as most blacks go, I tend to agree with Jesse Lee Peterson.

In the black community, The government has taken over fatherhood, babies had out of marriage is about 75%, and the Democrats play them to a narrative that is a waste of time: we want reparations and should hate whites.

Most blacks were duped by LBJ, are still in ghettos, and are eating up the new Democrat agenda: hate them for their fathers' sins.

As Candice Owens said, blacks need to drop the victim mentality and adopt the victor mentality. I agree.
