I avoid black people
    #25670843 -

I avoid black people outside of my place of work. Ones at work are typically educated and respectable. Outside of my place of work I feel like a majority of them are racist as hell. Ones working in any sort of service ranging from staples to sectaries are rude and disrespectful. I see them do this towards white or black people. Never had this problem before but I feel like I am around a bunch of stereotypes.

It's probably a cultural thing. I lived in a place before where I thought most the whites and blacks were racists, but I eventually realized that's how everybody acts in that area, it's not that they are trying to be rude its that they grew up with that behavior all around them. Although in your case they might just be racist or petty. I have no idea what you're dealing with.

But I can say that just ignoring peoples attempts to drag you down, as in not giving them the privilege of disrupting your state of mind can help, and you won't have to avoid them. The anger and stress you get from thinking about their behavior towards you is a load you have to carry in the back of you mind for the whole day or even longer. Don't just avoid somebody because of their skin, that's only inhabiting your life. Judge people as individuals, sometimes you'll find somebody you enjoy talking to.

It's like that where I live , at school where you have to be a little smarter to graduate they are not too bad , the com college is full of trash though and if you don't hand over grades to a small percentage of them they fly off the handle and get confrontational

Sometimes I dream of punching them as hard as I can in their big fat faces and then everyone else who is sick of them giving a them the beat Down that's long beem waiting to come their way

But then I walk away because I can't stand them . So glad I'm not a com schools anymore

But outside of university , with the exception of a few , well honestly more than a few but still

Animals , and it's odd , if they're calm it's sorta humoric to be around them , agitated , better hold it down if there aren't other races around because it's going to get fucked up fast

Fuck em , our city has even been fencing them off in hostile areas where they come out on holidays to shoot firearms into the air and stupidity don't realize the lead falls back to earth

I don't know what the problem is with them , I suspect they think I caused their demise personally but I've worked hard to get where I am and even though it isn't anything to brag about I earned it mostly on my own at this point .
And I've always felt bad for those of them that hurt in the past , but not these days

I don't owe them anything and don't feel for them anymore like I used to , not since I was jumped by a Gang of Four of them who tried to steal my car while I was leaving a gas station. As I said fuck them , they do it to themselves and pretty soon citadels will cage them them off from civil areas like they have started doing in my city already due to violence and crime .

Hate feeling things like this but I gave them all my benefit I could till I was crossed numerous times and stabbed in the back numerous times , not once or twice , dozens , animal s , they're animals, not all of them , but enough of the one s I run into which is sad because my neighbors who are black are pretty nice , and a good number of others too , but head into mid town ....,.watch out for shit crazy ghetto reactionary fuck you over everything , rude as fuck (mostly ) and just doing enough to not get fired contribution , if that , and far less educated and don't care to try to be , prob because that's white or some bs . Anyway I have learned the hard way what side to be on

I used to feel so bad for their plight , give my last dollar bad and then more . Not anymore , and there are a lot of pricks around where i live , but the stereotype is reality for the most part here towards all the dislike of how (enough to be commented about ) blacks are generally .

The really important facts were that spatial relationships had ceased to matter very much and that my mind was perceiving the world in terms of other than spatial categories. At ordinary times the eye concerns itself with such problems as where? — how far? — how situated in relation to what? In the mescaline experience the implied questions to which the eye responds are of another order. Place and distance cease to be of much interest. The mind does its perceiving in terms of intensity of existence, profundity of significance, relationships within a pattern."

It appears that YOU are the one who is racist. You have no idea why the people you meet are hostile, how shitty their lives are, but it is YOU who "feel" their hostility is racially motivated because you are projecting your own stuff. If it was ONE individual you heard racial slurs from I could understand your assumption but because you are lumping a number of unknown people together whom you do not know personally, just because they are Black, it is pretty evident in whom the racism is certain. You haven't had this problem before? Why, are you 20 years old? How old are the hostile people? Maybe like a lot of Millennials who leave high school, they had no idea what being unprepared for the work-a-day world was like, how little one is paid, what shitty hours and benefits they get. Protracted adolescence ends when one realizes they are not being drafted into the NFL, or NBA, and nobody wants to record their stupid raps. Result: Bitterness. Disillusionment. Hostility towards anyone and everyone regardless of ethnicity who seems to be happier than they are.

"You're a racist!"
"No you're a racist!"

It's all so tiresome and boring now. Race exists, if you agree with this then just admit you're racist and you'll feel a lot better about it all. Not many are aware of the irony when labeling someone a 'racist': you're putting them into a category and discriminating that individual based on the socially engineered label you have given them.

Bloody racists taking all our jobs!

Having a harsh life or living in the ghetto is no excuse for being hostile and aggressive towards everyone.  I've made friends with people who live in the ghetto that are nice.

Rich or poor no one has an easy life. I don't know if these people are from the ghetto or poor. The fact is their behavior within the Service industry is poor. Yes being in the Service industry sucks. Yet there are many options that get you out of it without an education.

This could be a local thing. This is the first time I've been a minority.

Some considerations:

We live in an officially politically correct society.
But the reality is different on the the ground.
And different and at different places on the ground.

Predjudice against predjudice is also predjudice.

Hatred is an unpleasant emotion for the hater to experience.
All emotions limit freedom to some degree.

So ideally we experience every situation and person with an open mind.

In practice racial and other profiling makes some sense. (Something they seem to miss at airport security in the USA)

So there is no one answer, for how to act.

But to the degree, we forgive ourselves, let go of past grudges and anger, and become the type of person we would like to have as a friend, our life will probably generally become easier and feel better.

My respect for your was greatly damaged by the nonsense you uttered here and in that other thread about race.
You are obviously ideologically possessed by hyperliberal ideas, completely unaware of how your race is the only one even trying to life up to that standard.
Humans are not born racist?
Preference for in-group is a very human behaviour and thats really all whats needed. Try to look at history more objectively and try to keep the ideological bias at bay, so you may see that the principles giving rise to racism are omnipresent throughout all ages.

Its probably correct that your age barrs and what you went through historically as a subject keeps you from seeing that.

it's funny because people in the latest trends (and not faddism, but "academia" is driving this, social-gurus of the latest wave of feminism and intersectionality) are bashing white people, as a monolith, all the time, and 'certain people' refuse to ever comment on that, but just the counter-opposition to that aforementioned bashing gets "words" from 'said person[s]' about their supposed inferiority.

it's really tragic. and if they looked at History, they'd see that it was African Empires which sold the slaves they had, in the first place.

i'm just saying, since people want to try and summarize something that has no real summary conclusion, well, you want to draw the line at History, I say, let's not leave this chunk out.

indeed

lab studies show much unconscious bias is common
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=+unconscious+racism&t=h_&ia=web

furthermore so is xenophobia
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=xenophobia+&t=h_&ia=web

A familiar example in the USA are "black" people who are prejudiced against those who are "blacker" or darker.

Then we have  Indian tribes who get the right to earn great sums of money from gambling, but whose governments keep the profits for themselves.

Then we have black pimps and drug dealers harming "their own people".

Then their was the added twist of black folks straightening their hair back in the day to imitate their oppressors. The same phenomenon happened in the Patty Hearst case.

In fact in group out group behavior seems to dominate a very large portion of human social interactions.

Then as akira_akuma points out there are folks like Cornel West who attempt to exploit the situation. And whom the politically correct tiptoe around.

But regardless as long as the 'masses' lack deeper insight, calmer rationality, and less emotional reactivity, 'racial problems' will continue all over the planet seemingly, for as long as there are humans.

I stick to that.  Don't give a shit about the race but I get the O.P. post.  People in poverty especially.  But it goes for all races.  I read people.  Have spent my time learning about society.

Bullshit gets easier to see through personally through my experiences.  It takes a lot to fool me nowadays.  Nature.  Find it better to spend my time in it.  No greater company than oneself.  Then one comes back into cities.

Dress this way, do this do that, fuck off.  Humans destroy each other overall and are doing a great job of it with this earth.  It takes a lot to get my trust through hard won wisdom.  I have been fucked over so many times but it is not avoidance, it is just learning and seeing through people quite quickly.

Can't put it on black people.  There are some that would die for one if they know you are real and not fake.  Quite simple really, doesn't have to do with race and I am the same.  Just basic humanity.

I have been fucked over by people of every race, growing up so naive and blind trust.  Never would take advantage of that and I associate with those that are the same.  Skin color has nothing to do with it.

The country one is in and the culture, best learn before going or cities and such.  Not all view the world as I do, lol.

There are so many allies out there.  ONe learns quickly yet easily mislead when society is corrupted and there are a lot more sharks than fishes (naive) out there.  I learned.  Not that I couldn't be fooled again and be fucked over but one will learn over time, sooner or later.  Some lessons are much more difficult than others.  Racism, which is just basically the color of a persons skin doesn't matter IMO. Pre-judgement.  I get it. The culture, intelligence, integrity, what matters to me.

There is only ONE race - Human. You are expressing racism as well as ageism. If you manage to reach age 65, hopefully you'll know what I know because you sure as Hell don't know much right now. I've lived through the Civil Rights atrocities and triumphs of the 1960s. My lovely wife is of Nigerian-Jamaican extraction, who is a Cornell graduate (having rejected Princeton and U. of Pennsylvania) and is more intelligent than you and me put together. Here is yet another case of someone thinking he knows better than his elders about life (vs. some technical specialty).  Age does not guarantee wisdom, but youth is undevelopment by definition. What you think you know is governed by a lack of universality, a lack of perspective, a mammalian perspective that is not fully human inasmuch as it is primitively tribal, does not admit of "the further reaches of human nature" as Abraham Maslow called it, and sorely unaware of the transcendental (read spiritual) dimension of your being.

I for one endeavor to exceed the limitations of base humanity with its petty hatreds, greed and war. My personal development is not yet another iteration of the slow-to-grow humanity that we see evidenced by those <100 IQ voters who support that POS puppet POTUS in the White House. No, humans are NOT born racist, they are taught by their morally and intellectually bereft parents. Just so you know, I do not need your respect. In fact, I do I want anything to do with parochial-minded tribal townie types (especially those types with a battle flag of North Virginia hanging in his bedroom or truck). I am a liberal, pacifist, vegetarian, heterosexual, Social Democratic monogamist with a Jewish soul and Christian spirit whose lifestyle has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment and who sees ammosexuality as a particularly perverse paraphilia. Just FYI. Feel free to put me on your Ignore list. :yesnod:

Consider proof-reading your final draft.
