Good to know. I felt like eating chocolates I had more of an energetic trip, thought it was due to caffeine. I guess not tho.

Update: I took 12g dried. ground it in a coffee grinder and put about 4g into 4 tea bags.

I boiled 6.5 cups of water and then added the bags along with 2 lemon green tea bags. Low simmered the bags in the water for about 30 minutes.

Took the bags out, I had one rupture on me so I had to cheesecloth strain the mixture but no big deal. Ended up with 6 cups of liquid.

I simmered the liquid on low for about an hour. Condensed the liquid down to 1 cup. I emptied into a jar and put in the fridge to cool down. Once cool I added half a lemon worth of juice and now it is in the fridge ready for tonight. I will drink half and my partner will take the other. I shall update later tonight.

No your pretty much right on your feelings, good chocolate with a high percentage of cacao will definitely alter an experience due to the monoamine oxidase inhibitors in the cacao. In essence they make it harder for your brain to break down the goodies.
There isn't any caffeine in chocolate either, just theobromine but its structurally similar and also a stimulant. I think caffeine with or prior to dosing will affect your experience but it's a dose dependent variable on both sides.
