Concentrates

They have always fascinated this little teapot. This teapot smokes marijuana concentrates exclusively, I love the stronger rush and intensity that it brings. Any bud that I have gets made into more wax for myself and my teapot husband.

Knowing what I know about making marijuana concentrates it got me thinking about The Crystals of The Gods. This technique of extraction has me extremely curious.

In the past 2 years, we have started partaking in taking shrooms and recently (past 6 months) we have been experimenting with higher doses (8-15g dried max so far). We started grinding and capping them, still at 15 grams that ends up with a whole bunch of capsules and a whole bunch of liquid at once. Our trips are manageable but always end up with stomach discomfort and many times purging.

Well, now we grow our own supply and finally have enough extra where I feel comfortable possibly ruining some of my magic powder.

The Tek I referenced above is extremely helpful and informative but I was just wondering if anyone else has had success making mushroom concentrates and if so what your method was. I am fully prepared to do many runs to perfect this so if you tried with some success I would still love to hear it.

I put 3 cups of water in a pot boil it with tea, then put 1oz in it and simmer it for 20-30 min. Strain it and get the solution to 2 cups, then 2floz is 7g. I use milk sample vials that are 2oz and freeze them, they keep for a while frozen. They are easier to take than eating them for sure. Its not an extraction but I think it's a concentrate.

Worth a try, I have a bit dried, ground, and ready so I think I'll try tying into a tea bag to deal with filtration.

I have a fine mesh tea strainer that I use. I just break them up, I used a coffee grinder once and it made alot of dust, that kinda sucks to work with. After the strainer I use a coffee filter to get the finer stuff, they come out pretty clear after that. That's my preferred consumption method. Good luck, and happy travels.

U can evaporate tea all the way down to a powder too. Well not really powder, more like sticky shards

My favourite is to mix in coffee with mushrooms boiled in water. Sounds like itll be gross but it doesnt it comes out tasting like treacle for some reason. I wouldnt have believed it if i hadnt tried it myself.
Also while the mixture is still watery you can run it through a fine mesh to catch the extracted shrooms then through coffee filter if you dont want any bits, then evap down. You could do an alcohol extract to if you wanted.

Just make a stupid strong tea. Chill and mix it with orange juice.

You can't taste it at all and it comes on super strong. It's my favorite way to prepare something for a group.

As Bod already pointed out, the Crystals of the Gods tek has been debunked, the supposed end product of the process is not active. At all.

The most widely accepted shroom concentrate approach is via alcoholic tincture. Personally I never had digestion issues with healthy, clean Cubensis fruit bodies, nor with Tampanensis or Mexicana sclerotia, so I was never motivated to even consider extracting the actives in any way.

An alcohol tincture is basically what I was meaning. I was wanting to be able to concentrate ounces down to little tincture bottles. Maybe like a 10mg active component to 1cc tincture ratio.

Tea can be boiled and reduced to nearly nothing, and you can really pack large doses into 1-2 fl oz

Wouldn't take much pure compound, maybe 50mg for a strong trip?

That's a pretty good idea. Condense a tea with an oz into 4oz water then gel with agar. I wonder how stable it would be? You could make some pretty small potent gummies.

Technically it is an extraction, youve extracted the actives into water then concentrated it.
