Bacterial Monotub
    #25637264 -

So my monotub smells bacterial like rotten fruit. It's Coir, and whole oats. The spawn itself smelt a little bacterial. Is there any reason to keep the tub going? I see the mycelium growing like crazy but it smells bad. I assume the caps I pick would be unhealthy?

If you can get it to fruit then the fruits would be fine once dried properly.
But in general if you can smell anything even slightly bad, chances are it will never pin.

Any pics?

What are you using to inoculate your bags/grain with? Spore syringe? Agar wedge? LC?

What is that big circulat white shit growing near the surface?

The pics aren't great, there's mycelium growing for sure but who knows if it will make it

I would toss it to avoid contaminating other shit by accident

Hmmm that's interesting.
The myc looks like it's only recovering at the bottom of your tub.
I take it the grains are distributed evenly throughout?

How long since you spawned it?
If it's been longer than a week I'd say it's sadly toast.

It also looks a bit brown I can't really tell from the pics if it's just coir or metabolites.

I would personally see if the myc keeps growing, depending on the smell.
If it smells really bad I don't think there would be much point.

I get s new PC Tuesday. Smell is dissapating or I'm just getting used to it but I'd rather not fuck around with it any longer. I would say it's been a week since spawning soo agree. To the outdoor spawning area.
