the sentiment seems to be that immigrant cultures are being brought over to dilute and devalue native cultures

that it efficiently aligns itself with existing struggles

well, at least you seem to have taken the essence of my post

simply do not think it is rewarding to treat the issue as being a shift of 'fundamental beliefs'
looking for continuity allows potential for a framework to unravel the issue, or at least comprehend where the lens is pointed moving forward
but do recognize the issue as larger and more serious than you may realize
BLM seems to be receiving continued resentment tracing back to SJW and gamergate issues
and may well be partially informed by commonalities in mainstream media support
