"Salt Life" and other such bullshit stickers and mantras

I keep seeing cars with these gnarly looking Salt Life stickers on them. Thought maybe it was a band or something, no, just a "lifestyle". Id like to know who the sheep are who buy into these stupid fucking stickers... Same for the stick figure families and all the other bullshit people put on their car.

Id like to send all these people to space and forget about them, free up traffic a bit. Maybe I'm just a cynical asshole? Probably.

@citizen I think my biggest problem with it is the absolute lack of tangible value or artistry behind it. If it was a band or a show or something sure... But nah Its literally just something for people to subscribe to. Vapid bullshit.

The Salt Life motto was given to true watermen of Hawaii a long time ago.
Guys that could tackle the most dangerous conditions in the ocean.

But it became a trendy thing, and anyone that has ever stepped foot on a surfboard once or has a boat now has a Salt Life sticker.

It's bullshit.

But as far as the marketing aspect of what they did, I got nothing but respect. Free market at its best. Exploit the sheep to fullest!

Yeah the guys behind it are marketing geniuses. Just like the people behind LRG and Obey etc.

I don't have any problem with surfers or anything but I have a feeling that for the vast majority of people rocking that sticker the only wave they're surfing is the shit wave.

@Ant, yeah Jeeps are the king of the Salt Life :lol: I can't talk shit on the car because I have a good friend with one and he's great... But yeah its a trend.
