when to do the first agar transfer?
    #25538632 -

Hey shroomery, have recently started a couple agar plates with 2% brf mixture, and was wondering when should I make the first transfer? I don't see any contamination yet, and the mycelium has just started to look "ropey" again.. I took a small tissue sample from some nice healthy fruits to create these around a week ago.

should I be making a transfer soon? if so where do you suggest I take it from? =)

sorry for the bad quality image I will try to take a clearer one asap!

You can transfer anytime you want its ready
Also I'll say try to take just one of those "rope" as you called them
Don't wait to long
And :goodluck:

Now is good. I like doing first transfers as quickly as possible. As for where, dealer's choice. I personally do batches of 5 plates, so would take it from 5 places all around.

Yes, it definitely should make getting it a less taxing process. But you won’t really know until you put it to the plate.
