From the guy who also thinks that liberal arts school are comprised of:

Grow up.

There are plenty critiques of liberal arts schools, but none of what you said is a legitimate critique. It's name calling b.s., why? Because you don't like those people. Good for you.

Bring something worth debating to the table, challenge yourself a little.

Thats like saying liberal arts schools arent incubators of progressive values. Flat wrong. Maybe your experience was different? Didnt you say you went to trade school? Is that considered liberal arts humanities where you are from?

I went to trade school as a machinist and later became a CNC programmer on my own accord, that trade school is considered a professional or vocational school, then I graduated from university with a B.A. and later a M.S.. I probably would have gone for a PHD had I not totally burnt out on my master's thesis. I can't stand the thought of going back.

Liberal arts schools use the term "liberal" because they want to embed broad and generalized knowledge into the student, not because they are teaching you liberal or progressive ideals. Are there more progressives and liberals at these places, yes. That is undeniable. It just so happens that when you live in a fact based world, one where you've been taught to use critical thinking and make decisions based on empirical evidence it's common to end up somewhere on the left hand side of the political spectrum.

The way people from the right address this issue is basically a conspiracy theory. They think colleges will literally turn you gay and that woman leave college being "pro abortion."

So again, if you want to present a true critique of a liberal arts school, "soyboy" and "communist-atheists" isn't going to cut it.

Are you uoset mate? Dont be its just politics.  I believe it was me who earlier posted a self identifying survey in this thread showing a large proportion of humanities professors identify as marxist and activists. I guess its just a coincidence students come out of liberal schools as progressives?

I think its naive to say critical thinking and reasoning is a liberal idea. β€œLiberal ideology” has been around for how many years? 400? Less? What does that say about past great thinkers?

Are you familiar with critical theory and the frankfurt school? Thats probably as good a place as any to start a discussion on intersectional feminism or cultural marxism in education.

Yes, many studies are obviously "based on empirical evidence", but many are not and are ideologically biased.

It's almost impossible for many of those studies not to be biased in one fashion or another. "History is always written by the winners".

Many of my business professors were extremely pro-capitalist businessmen, they weren't singing the praises of socialism.

I'm not even remotely pissed off. I make a crazy amount of money to fuck off on the internet all day.

I never said the phrase "liberal idea." Those are your words. Some of the most groundbreaking scientists were killed by the church over their progressive ideas. Today, conservatives actively deny science. If that's not a lack of critical thinking then I don't know what is.

We've been down this road, qman. I agree that there is inherent bias in everything. Modern science acknowledges this. The conservative bias is to deny and deflect when it comes to opposing scientific findings.

"conservatives actively deny science"

You mean religious fanatics.

Conservatives (the elite) run and invest in all the major companies that produce science.

I was THERE.  Did you not even bother to read what I wrote?

This was from personal experience.  It is a politically incorrect critique, but a critique non the less.  If you wish to tell me something I experienced first hand didn't happen, go ahead.

You'll just look like a pompous douchebag even more than before.
