Is this Cobweb Mold?
    #25491283 -

Is this cobweb mold? It looks quite white but it is more fuzzyish. I inoculated the jars on the 20th and it is going on the 7th day tomorrow, Whatever it is It has not completely colonized the jar within a 2-3 day peroid. It is the Alacabenzi strain. Can cobweb mold be white or is it always grey?

Looks fine from what can be seen..Colonization can vary, long as it doesn't stall before 100% you're good. Give it an extra week once you get there then birth it

I am pretty sure it is just Tomentose Mycelium because the strain I used is apprently extremely resistant to most common contams and there are still bare spots of verm/brf in places, including a big empty spot on the back. It is white and not grey. I am pretty sure if it was cobweb mold it would have overtake the complete jar within 48 hours and its been 3 days going on 4 and it hasnt completely overtaken the jar. it is going on the 8th day tomorrow since inoculation.

It is a Brf cake inoculated with an Alacabenzi Syringe.

There's no such thing as an extremely contam resistant strain, unless you've got an isolate on agar that you've discovered and have some concrete research documentation to back it up

Well I have two other jars that started colonizing from the same syringe so I think its fine.

Looks fuzzy like mold. The specific type, I don't know.. But it doesn't look like cubensis myc.

Quick colonization times like that indicate mold as well.

So what is the average start up time for cubensis 7 days?

From multispore syringes, you will often see the first signs of growth within 2-4 days, though a week is not unheard of. This initial growth will be small and localized to the inoculation point.

Anywhere from 7-21 days. You might get lucky and see something before then. If its fresh spores then usually you'll see quicker.
