How many days has it been from innoculation?
What temperature?
-its hard to say without knowing those things

Oxygen isn't a big factor for colonization. I prefer to keep the tape on throughoput colonization. 1) to keep out contamination. 2) So when you birth the cake, it is "oxygen shocked" (going from little to no oxygen to lots all at once)
#2 is just my opinion...i have nothing to back it proving that it makes a difference.

It has been about 6 days. I think the temperature may be too low. It has been right around 70-73 degrees. I moved the jars earlier today to a warmer place. I got the jars from Shroom Wizard so I don't think it is the mix, although it could be. hmmm... we'll just have to see i guess.

No growth at all means, spores got too hot in the delivery process or when you innoculated you didnt wait untill it was less then what is it 105 degress F, I believe. From what ive read those 2 should be whats troublin you. Well later...

may they are to dry. you should have good air exchange. take the tape off and pot a coffee filter over them.

At those temps, I would wait until day 10 before you start to worry. I would say at minimum you should wait 2 hours before innoculating jars after sterilizing them, let em cool. Just wait and see. Being patient is the hardest thing though. Sometimes it'll be 2 and a half weeks before you see any signs of growth.
