flip PF jars to speed up growtrh ?

all 12 jars going great , is it ok to flip jars to get CO2 out of bottom of jar ?
growth seems to be halting near bottom of jars !

advice/comments/etc......

sure go for it...samething happened with my jars and i flipped them and it started back up again.

I may help a little, but you must understand, the last 10% of the substrate to colonize will always take the longest.

flip them, especially if there taking longer than usual.
the buildup of co2 with eventually stop growth if there taking "longer" to fully colonize.

Is flipping a standard practice one should do with their jars, or just in the event of seemingly slow colinization?  :ooo:

I don't flip my jars anymore, if you use an incubator, you will find that it is pretty unnecessary.

Incubating and flipping the jars have nothing to do with each other. Even when using an incubator, sometimes it helps to flip jars. Please stop spreading misinformation.

Ok shroomery God, will do, I was merely stateting that when one uses an incubator, the jars will usually colonize quick enough to where one would not have to flip the jars. Cool? And how is it mis information if it is personal experience that flipping the jars is unnecessary?

No need to get touchy. What I was saying is that there are many factors that contribute to colinization speed/time and it isn't right to tell someone that using an incubator will eliminate the usefulness of flipping.

he does have a point though (about incubators) because they're warmer than storing your jars at room temperature. it does help your jars colonize faster and i can vouch for that.. at the same time, i see nothing wrong with flipping your jars whether you're using an incubator or not.

I wasn't trying to put down his idea that an incubator aids greatly in colonization, I was just trying to make sure that new growers aren't confused about what an incubator is for, and what the purpose of flipping is. As for the post being misinformation, the original statement simply stated that incubating eliminates the need for flipping, as if it were a known fact.
