That's interesting about you having more profound trips with small amounts vs your 12 gram trip... can you expand on how the small doses affected you spiritually or emotionally over the high dose?

Ive done 15 trips of 4-5 Grams golden teachers and feel like I'm getting close to the darkness at my soul that still causes me pain, and suffering, self sabotage. I was thinking going higher dose, but maybe I should try a smaller one? Your thoughts

3.5 to 7 grams is like good times. but anything above 4 grams I notice can be rather dark trips. Not like horrible, but can be rather intense and go to dark places in the mind then back out to good places, but you learn from that stuff.

Ah my friend what you are experiencing is anxiety and fear. I have a very very close friend that experienced this for about a year. Once we tackled his fear and anxiety of "the other side" where it was "dark" he let go and the heavier trips became easier to handle.

We have both had ego loss but I personally can take 10, 15, and even I took a 27 g dry two months ago. I grow APE and PE because of potency but also think KSSS is overrated.

The dark stuff comes from your inner fears and anxiety to let go.....control your fear and confront those inner demons and your trips will become more carefree I promise.

this exactly someone with a clear conscious 2g can feel like 4, no need to go so far into it your tripping sober.

I notice when I get above about 4 grams, my trips don't necessarily get dark, but can get overwhelming to the point I've had to alternate between laying down and standing up because I would either be melting into the floor (sensation, not visually) or falling through the bed/ground (again sensation, not visually). It's an intense and can be overwhelming, but not necessarily negative.

The key lies with knowing when you're dreaming. The fears go away. Siddhi powers of untold manipulation of reality.

I would just work my way up to ego-shattering doses, whatever that means for the individual, and become one with/dissolve/destroy the fear of the unknown. Now you know you're dreaming and can really learn about your world, since you seem to be all knowing ab self at this point. As much as one can know without another human's influence.

Learning from other people? Or knowing yourself all the way? Or having "gifts"? By the time you shatter yourself enough that you learn to put youraelf back together in a higher vibration, as soon as the shattering starts, you will no longer feel the need to throw stuff around with your mind. There are entities that would prevent you from doing any real damage anyways. But its just one of those things that u jusf dont think about after killing yourself so many times.

Some thoughts on the poll from my experience:

- If I'm going to trip, I like it deep, which for me means 3.5-5g.

- I did 7g once and wow... it was revelatory and cathartic for sure, but a hard experience.

- I've only ever once tried something other than cubensis and it was tampanensis, fresh, which had an interesting, nutty taste and a real smooth trip. So while I liked it, not enough experience to call it a favorite vs. much more frequent cubensis experiences.

- For a while, as a alcohol substitute, I was making 1g tea, which was an extremely pleasant feeling, with minimal visuals.

- Never did capsules, but just loaded up a batch with microdosing in mind, .25g in 0 capsules. Don't think I'd ever want to scarf down enough of those for a serious trip.

- There was a time in my life when I was tripping about 1-2x per month, which was fine for those few years, but since then only 1-3x per year and my annual average at this point, over the past decade is probably <1/yr.

Thanks for setting this up...glad to take part 13 years later and see how my experiences compare. I consistently find mushrooms to be a more "difficult" trip than LSD, so I wasn't surprised to see that my answers are low-average.

I think I've probably only ever had cubes, and I wonder if seeking out a more exotic species might produce a smoother experience.
