Does anyone know if mushroom 'tea' (boil water, drop in powder mushrooms, let sit, drink) works better than just eating the damn things? I have some freinds who are hellbent on the idea that you trip twice as hard with the tea. Just asking because today I obtained some shrooms, and I'm far from an expert on the subject, so would it really be worth the tedium of brewing up the tea as opposed to eatin 'em?

I guess that there's only one way to find out :)
Make the tea.
I have no experience, but maybe because it's in a liquid form, you can absorb more of the active ingridients, and absorb them faster? I'm not sure, though.

I have had mushroom tea before, and to tell you the truth I prefer jusring eating them straight up. Your trip comes on faster and more intense at first, but seems to wear off. People say it is better, but you have to be careful because if you heat up the shrooms too much they begin to lose potency. I think that you should just eat them, plus the tea tastes horrible.

The tea will hit harder and be shorter and is more likely to go bad from my experience's.
I'd eat em' up.
Control for smilers can't be bought.

well, i prefer the tea, esp. with a bit of sugar and lemon juice, it comes on faster and having an empty stomach isn't as crutial. It does however were off in like 4 hrs depending on dosage. But its up to you, if you want a nice str and not too long sort of trip then go with the tea. (but remember its alot better to swallow the mushies along with it(don't strain).
Also since Psilocybin breaks down at 106(or 9 can't remember) there is no danger of potency lose, so don't worry there, Also there isn't any connection between tea and a bad trip.

yeah like hubert said, you have to eat the mushies after to get the full effect. But personally, i find the mushrooms easier to chew and eat before they have been turned into a soggy mess. I also like the slow rise to a magnificent peak,rather than a fast rise. makes the whole experience more dramatic i guess.

The time I drank shroom tea was the most intence mushroom trip of my life. I drink a fairly large amount and within about 15 mins I was completely on another planet. I went outside and I could not believe my eyes. It was a little bit scary but that was just because I was triping so hard and everything was so different. Just looking at the trees about knocked me on my ass. It was as if I was exploring an alien world. A very good trip all and all.
I give two thumbs up to tea. I guess if you are the kind of person who likes to take off like a rocket then its for you.
