Question on Mushroom legality

I was reading somewhere before that freash mushrooms are legal in canada. But they won't be legal if a c-7 bill passes. Has that already passed?

Another question, while looking at that, I noticed on the US fedral law that having mycelium was not illegal. I got busted a year back for having mycelium. They just charged me with possesion of Mushrooms. It didn't say suspificaly psilocybin or anything else. Do you think i'll be able to fight it? My court date is coming up may 14th.

By the way I know that anything containing psilocybin and psilocin are illegal, but at an early stage isn't it questionable if the mycelium contains those two chemicals? If they didn't get it tested that day would i be able to fight it? Plus they didn't charge with psilocybian, the suspific charge is "mushrooms" and I had no fruit. I didn't even have any knots.

As far as I can tell, the new drug laws here don't allow for the possession of fresh mushrooms. They simply state that psilocin/psilocybin, as well as anything containing them, is illegal.
