Thanks.
I lost my capricorn and a nice variegated nudem last winter, for some reason I get unlucky with Astros.
But this one in particular is a real trooper and grows well.

I wish! Two grafts I've bought back in 2015, from different sources. I've tried it once from seed, but none came up. Now I'm going to have lots of seed to try, but the sad thing is that I will have to kill the plants (more or less) to get to the seeds. :'(

I say monitor growth and when the seed pod is almost level to the soil, start poking around. I wouldnt kill them though. I seen peopl slice them to extract seeds. Then graft thw top part.

I have one that has outlasted my expectations. It hasnt flowered. The bottom part rotted of thw stock. The top lived and its still, there.

Good luck buddy.

Thank you! I don't know that much, but that seems off. I'm not in it's habitat and I think this is native. There's some differences in appearance to.

I'm leaning Towards Spinosior or Cane Cholla. It gets purple hues, same habitat, only purple flowers, yellow fruit, spine size & pattern; but I can't tell if it grows with that characteristic downward pattern since it's grown horizontal. It's cuttings should be clearer
