Not exactly a flower, technically a leaf, but I still think they are cool.

Got lots of poppies coming up.  Hopefully they'll grow a nice root system over the Winter and just spend the Spring feeding until it's time for them to flower.  Either way, I'm hoping that the earwigs won't eat the entire goddammed crop, like they did last year.

A rather late poppy in flower, a few frosts didn't slow it down.

It is flowering time for the phalaenopsis !! I have 6 flower spikes on my three plants ! Two per plant. I only have one brand new spike coming from a leaf node. The 5 other spikes come from pre existing spikes. There is one which comes from a secondary spike so I assume it's tertiary ? I had never seen a secondary spike producing another spike before :omgawesome:

It is also flowering time for the dendrobium nobile. 8 flowers/4 spikes on this one. Two spikes aborted tho... This guy is strange and is growing two new basal shoots along its bloom. Which is not what they are supposed to do.

I lvoe orchids. These plants are so rad ! I have purchased vanda, cattleya, zygopetalum, brassia hybrid. My zygo and brassia hybrid are in bloom but they came with the buttons so it's not fair to show them :tongue2:

Nearly summer here.
Have a bit of a heat wave and the plants are loving it.

Montanoa grandiflora in bloom right now.
The flowers' scent reminds me of vanilla cookies!

My dendrobium nobile flowers fully open

And my hybrid epyphyllum flowering in late fall. Don't know what is happening with it, it flowered a lot this spring and 6 flowers are coming again now which is very unusual for this cacti.
