Hey all, I’m back at it thanks for all of your concern, itreally means a lot to me. Had a lot of shitty life stuff and a ton of work stuff that has kept me off of here, and I know a few of you deal with bipolar/depressionso you’ll understand when I say that whena bad downswing happens I recede from life and things that bring me joy and feed into my passion become dull and anxiety prone. I’ve hD a lot of medical shit going on- so muchso bothmyself and my roommate believe that my GM from my last job (who is part Cherokee and part Lakota) put a curse on me (part Cherokee) when I left- O don’t buy into that kinda shit usually but I’ve never had so many problems in such a short amount of time.
Last week (being V-day week) was nuts for my job, ended up getting a concussion during one of the shifts butkept working for as long as I could because I need money desperately- had to go without my meds for a few days (not good) but just refilled my meds withoutinsurance for the first time in 4 years and they have more thantripled in price- cost me $137 to see the doc (for medication I’ve been taking for 7 years, Ug) and then $389 for one months worth- luckily the girl at the pharmacy brought up a coupon to save me $150 on her phone (MVP) but that’s still a shitload of a major monthly expense for me.
Then last week my Bearded Dragon Constantine died in my arms. It was gut wrenching. I even gave him mouthto mouthand brought him back briefly where he stared into my eyes until he slipped away from me again, for a final time. I really beat myself up about it a lot, cuz I knew there was something wrong with him but didn’t take him to the vet due to money. I gave him a burial, full Christian rights as Constantine was a Christian eventhoughI’m not and it was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. It may sound silly to some but J truly deeply loved the little guy- he like country music and Enigma, and was always interested in me doing sterile work. He was my Little myco-buddy, always coming over to check out what I was doing and sometime even reason back on his hind legs, stretching is front legs up to be held. I’m doing better about it and after talking to some of my hep enthusiast friends I was able to come to terms withthefact there might not have been much a vet could do either, so I find solace in Knowing. That he knew he was loved in his last moments. It’s hard waking up every morning to an empty terrarium though- torn between getting another reptile or selling it- honestly should probably sell it because of how much of my free time is taken up by myco-Work, but I really do miss having a cold-blooded comrade.
Ok enough with the sob story, some good news on the myco-front. My work may end up wanting Lion’s Mane from me, a restaurant under the same company may want oysters, and a local cocktail bar is interested in Shiitake tinctures, as well as a local head shop about to blow out a wall and have a full natural medicine section (CBD, Kratom, etc) and they want a full line of double extractions from me. Also, my last table I served today happened to be a manager of a Farm-to-Table restaurant in Plano and is looking to expand into my area- I just so happened to have some mushrooms in my car (for the cooks at work)so I got her some samples- so we will see where that goes. Talking with a local brewery as well about using oysters to brew with, as well as have 4 personal every-other-week accounts so I feel I’m headed in the right direction !
Also, super exciting news, one of my protégés hit me up and she was like “hey I just found out one of my friends used is a mycologist- and she’s super hot and singl, want me to introduce you?” —- uuuuhhhh duh!!! Is it too early to already be in love? Lol kidding but like forreal tho.
Hopefully I’ll be on here more, and once agin I truly deeply appreciate your concerns. Mush love mates! I’ll leave you with a couple pictures

Pine V HWFP on Northspore King Oyster (the ones with all the knots are HWFP- looking like its better so far)

Other side by side notes: Chestnut appears equal, just put into Fruiting. Both BSOY2 and Bratslavian appear about equal (maybe a little quicker on BSOY2 HWFP but we will see when I fruit in the next couple days). Lion’s Mane appears about equal.
Beech FINALLY starting to fruit (middle one I fruited too early)

Also, still having trouble dialing LM in- I think the shelving area J had them onwas just too turbulent as they’ve been showing signs of both drying and not enough FAE- re-ducted that area to be more like the oyster shelf, and threw the LM blocks on the oyster shelf, giving the Rolland Gold the other shelf, which appeared to do better so far on HWFP than Pine, however I think after discussing with MorePies that it’s just too cold for them to really do much right now- plus all the shit went down when they needed to be fruited, so I feel I lost a lot of energy in the rediculous amount of primordial formation

Anyways- knock on wood I don’t have any more health problems , I really want to get back to being a contributing member of this group and site as a whole. I love all you crazy cats. Your friendship and guidance and tutelage truly means the world to me.
Cheers mates!
