No worries man I can conclude im in no trance like state but after following my routine and telling myself over and over id feel feelings of well being I am its scary because just before I was going through kratom wd although krarom wd is nothing compared to traditional opiates it was still pretty uncomfortable and now im feeling nothing but relaxation all symptoms gone and its lasting a lot longer than from via meditation

I used to be a heroin addict myself. Tried kratom but favored suboxone.

How long have you been off? Doesn't sound like long. So your main problem is not feeling things/emotions strongly, you're just in your body doing things but not experiencing joy?

Just from my personal experience, you have to work at being a complete person again after quitting. Just quitting the drugs isn't enough, maybe try to do something really fun or new to jumpstart that brain of yours? Exercise seems like a particularly good option. Hike somewhere challenging, go through struggle and cold and then the moment of triumph, wake up your brains confused pleasure centers.

Maybe I'm just typing nonsense and you're like 'yeah dude sure' but I thought I'd share my thoughts :yesnod:

I relapsed after a year clean PAWS has always been the worse for me especially when I was taking trams to potentiate dope which ended up just becoming another addiction I think the ssri property of the trams fucked up my ability to feel positive things subs are better but I DO NOT want to go through those withdrawls I had a taste of methadone wd and it was not pretty

Its just like im going through the emotions I find it hard to smile or just laugh I could be playing guitar or my favorite sport and not feel very much joy at all I have to really try hard to enjoy something but most of the time im just faking it so I dont seem like an emotionless zombie

I am a board certified clinical hypnotherapist. I was first trained in 1989 and I still have a part-time practice. What I can tell you is perhaps not what you asked, but you asked having a certain assumption. Firstly, arm levitation is something you would do with an experienced hypnotist, not on your own. In order to surrender to the process more deeply, a hypnotist needs to take you into somnambulism first, then you can gauge depth when you practice self-hypnosis. It is like reading for yourself and having someone read to you. You can then close your eyes, focus on the imagery that arises more fully, you don't have to hold the book or turn the pages. You can get into it more deeply. I would caution you that self-hypnosis using the Chevrel Pendulum, for example, is not going to give you somnambulism. You will experience sufficient dissociation (trance) to glance at a folded index card with your suggestion printed on it, but you are not going to get much deeper.

Hypnotherapy could be helpful to you IF your opiate use has been motivated by emotional pain due to a traumatic event or a traumatic childhood. If you started to use opiates because you enjoy a blissful diminution of consciousness, then hypnotherapy is not going to work for you. You like it because it feels good, not because it alleviates chronic emotional pain. So, you are not going to accept suggestions to stop doing it. We only accept suggestions that we actively like, not neutral or averse ones. Hypnotherapy and hypnoanalysis discovers the root cause and pulls out the painful emotions that are still running like malware in the background. The process is not merely about accepting suggestions or embracing affirmations when you are in a receptive state.

The correct elbow on arm of chair or better yet a table is illustrated in this video:
However, the use of a target is illustrated on this second video:
You move your eyes to and fro instead of imagining the direction, first along one axis, then stop at center, then the other axis, then stop, then in a clockwise motion, then stop, then in a counter-clockwise movement. Or the reverse, but you want to do the linear before the circular movements first. When, as the subject says in the first video that it doesn't feel like he was doing it or it wasn't his hand moving it, that means dissociation is occurring. When you feel like a pendulum is flying around by itself without your ideomotor control, that's when you focus on a short suggestion that you've written in bold letters on a card or paper.

Meditation is meditation, hypnosis is hypnosis. Samadhi is not somnambulism.

Meditation althrough effective for the short term does not give me what I am seeking.

My opiate use is based on pleasure and suppresing emotions.

Self hypnosis is a tool id like to use just to get me off my ass stop feeling sorry for myself and to bring about positive vibes not really to bring out shit I repress.

What about starting to use ibogaine instead? Not just once or twice, but regularly for the rest of your life.

Isn't it much more fun to be addicted to ibogaine? Also, "the height" lasts much longer than with heroin.

relax, get high on some weed, or take a shot of whiskey to depress your nervous system, (just my own advice).

repeat a set of words over and over, repeating the same thoughts, the same vocal pattern, until it is the only thing on your mind, no music in the back of your head, no other voices, just whatever that phrase is.

get your frontal lobe moving by setting in pure intention, and meditate on it for half an hour or longer.

thats all i got, there is a lot on the internet about it.

You shouldn't believe everything you read. Ibogaine binds to opioid receptors, just like heroin. Just more to the κ-opioid receptor, and less to the μ-opioid receptor. Ibogaine is also quite euphoric since it blocks the NMDA receptor, like ketamine.

Datura blocks the muscarinic acetylcholine receptor. This is much more dangerous, and not very euphoric.

In every report I've read and have watched they're always barfing uncontrollably, dysphoric, and just overall unpleasant. Nobody has said anything about it feeling opiate like in the least bit and the fact it can last days is not something id enjoy to well being in that state. This is all just from what i heard can prove none of it

Well, personally I think ibogaine is quite euphoric, but anyhow, think about it like this. You use heroin now, and you feel like you are "on top of the world" for a few hours. Do this for a few years, and you will be "in the bottom of the world" in your normal state of being.

Compare this to ibogaine. You use ibogaine now, and you might feel that it is a bit tough on your psychology. But do this regularly for a few years, and you might be "on top of the world" in your normal state of being.

Ibogaine is not like shrooms. You will think very clearly while high on ibogaine (especially the last 12 hours of the trip and after doing it a few times). In many ways, more clearly than in your normal state.
