I played it a few times.. we had like 7 people.

The dm was a cocksucker and I'm glad too because I can imagine how much of my life I'd piss away on that game...

That's terrible,  a shitty DM can deffinantely make for a terrible experience.  Ive played with many different groups in the past two decades.  Some amazing and a few shitty ones

i just started a campaign with like 5 or 6 friends. first time playing, but i'm having a pretty good time so far.

My friend and I downloaded 5e manual last night and were having fun discussing races and classes and some combinations of interest. I think I'd either play a human rogue or a half-elf wizard.

He's played before, I haven't. We don't yet know enough people in the area who are down for it so we are trying to get the ball rolling. Finding a good dungeon master is key though, and not easy.

I love dungeon raiding games and DnD is truly the ultimate tabletop, if you can even call it that.

Table top is used as a term because of the grid map, miniatures and the fact you gotta have a place to chuck dice and a place to set your character sheet. Ive yet to play 5th ed. I got started on 2nd ed. Disliked 4th ed because everything was really predetermined synergy, and might as well  been call table top WOW.  My last character in 3.5 was a half oger barbarian who weilded a kanabo. He was fun.
