If you've played Mage, then you've probably played V:TM, right?

That's one of my favorite games.

Me too!

Not long ago, me and my mother started talking again, and she gave me a box filled with a lot of my old books. At the bottom were some of my old RPG books, and I've fell back in love with V:TM.

WoD is so damn good at world-building.

D&D is pretty sweet, but the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game is where it's really at, if you have a skilled GM.

Why don't we organize our own online plAy by post campaign right here on the shroomery?

I would love to participate and would even volunteer to be the DM. I always was the DM in my group and would take it seriously and do my best! It could be fun. Who would be interested ?

If someone else wants to Adam I would be happy to be a player !

Was reading the newest editions of the players handbook, dungeon masters guide and monster manual and it looked pretty awesome .

I'll play.  But somebody has to get me a PHB.

I wonder though if we couldn't do it a bit different in a play by post, I imagine it being more narrative and role playing based with looser rules and less reliance on the books.

Well that's always an option.  Although if I had to vote on which edition to play I'd either go with ADnD (2.5 edition) or 3.5.

I've played in person with no character sheets pretty successfully. You can be as relaxed as you want really.

I would definitely be down to participate in a shroomery D&D campaign  :toast:
3.5 would be easiest for me, still haven't gotten around to borrowing my friends AD&D books. Not that I'm opposed to using a system I don't know, but it might be easier for all

The class I would lean towards most right now is a shaman/witch. I usually lean towards magic, but maybe a rogue..dunno.

I think someone with a good grasp of the rules of that version is going to have to be the DM. But so far we have three people in, including me and green arrow and you.

Anyone else in? Four people for the party and a DM would be ideal, but more could certainly play a role.

5th is everything good about 3.5 without all the OCD number crunching.

But I would love to have a game on the Shroomery. A Shroomery-specific campaign would be sick.

I'd totally DM if no one else wanted to. It's funny, I've played a lot of RPGs, but only played in one  I'm always the DM.

I'm down for any edition except for 4th.

I hate DM'ing and I suspect that my friends hate it too. I'm glad there are volunteers
