DMing is it's own game  I like it. Where as players can build and get attached to a character, the DM gets to do that with an entire world. It's like being a writer but you get to watch how the characters react to the problems instead of deciding it yourelf.

I'd be honored!

So what kind of game are y'all feelin'? Perhaps we need a poll.

Also, who's all interested in playin'?

I want a classic DND fantasy setting, drama, action, adventure, fantasy, magic, swords and sorcery, wizards, dragons and monsters, dungeons and mystical lands, castles and mysteries, plots and peril, whatever.

But within a dramatic, fantasy, DnD inspired realm. A serious campaign, not a comedic thing.

Just my opinion. I am not picky, I just want a classic style of DnD campaign, which isnt to say you shouldnt be as inventive and original as you want!

Thanks for agreeing to be the DM we really appreciate it.

I am playing! Who else?

I too like classic fantasy.

I like it when high magic is a well guarded secret... secret wizard societies and what have you. But thats a tad specific

Y'all will probably start out at, like, level 3. Still low enough to be interesting, but hopefully avoiding TPKs

Yeah I totally agree, magic should be rare, special and secretive/mysterious.

Cool, I like campaigns like that. Since y'all both agree on it, Low magic it is. I hate it when it gets to the higher levels and the non-casters become useless.

Ok everyone who wants to play post your basic character name and idea asap.

Asuryan Valencour

I would like to play a wood elf wizard, who grew up in the forest studying under a hermit-wizard in the woods. He specializes in enchantment, divination and transmutation. He wears a hooded cloak and carries a staff, with a leather satchel at his hip. His familiar is a small brown owl that perches on his shoulder.

He is a gentle, soft-spoken, diplomatic and polite person, and is devoutly religious, worshiping the Elven Deities and Nature Deities. He is somewhat shy and avoids conflict. He is of a mystical bent, prone to strange dreams, visions and flights of spiritual revelry.

He is descended from one of the dozen lesser Noble Elven Households of his home forest, and his family sigil is a Black Oak on a Green background.  However, he left all that behind when he left his home city to become a mage's apprentice in the wilderness.

He can cast spells such as :

charm person
spider climb
Jump
Expeditious retreat
Alter Self
Comprehend Languages
Tongues
Levitate

(when he gets to the requisite levels)

I think I'd play a dwarven cleric of generic polytheism.

I like it, never seen somebody play a cleric with no chief deity, that's a pretty cool idea.

Looks like I may go rogue, just so we're not all casters.

Maybe with a hint of bard.
