That Neo-japonicum is incredible.

Wow guys, you have really breathed new life and inspiration into this thread.

No, you won't be able to rinse off only the contamination lol

Guess i figured i could take advantage of the vigor of the primary mycelium. What about scraping dunking and recasing?

Well i decided to take "you are fucked" to mean "you'll have to try hard and maybe get lucky." So i rinsed back the peat/verm casing and dunked and rolled. Now we wait. I figure the peat made the casing not a casing at all, since its a substrate that contams can latch on to. We shall see. Thanks again all, the experiment lives on

One last gasp on this batch: is this contamination, or a mycelial renewal? When i disturb it it smells like natural myc. If contam, how can i reduce chance of contam in fc? FAE and misting seems super likely causes..
Im assuming i have to pitch these and start anew? :frown: Ah well, got one reasonable size flush, basically successful for first time.

The myc INSIDE still lools and smells soooo happy...

Also, this cake wants to flush, but seems stalled. With nothing to lose, i will keep it going, but wonder if the contam will render the fruits inedible?

Could do this trying to figure out if I have grown mycelium or cobweb mould. Saving this very helpful collection of pictures.

Does this look ok? Three recent clones all look like this. I'm thinking it's just the tissue readjusting but wanna make sure.

Does my substrate look right? (PICS posted)

This is my first grow. I've noticed some pinning over the last couple of days, but I have also noticed that the mycelium is not completely white and has some yellow areas. Not sure if this is normal coloration or not. Any input would be helpful.

Background: 12/12 light schedule, mist and fan twice a day, still trying to figure out how much moisture is too much. Any input helpful. Thanks
