Lets make them stop rounding people up off the streets and forcing them to work in sweatshops. Thats a terrible thing to do, let them find a better job somewhere else.

They don't round people up off of the streets and force them to work in sweatshops.  They mostly hire young girls who want to live in a city where they can bang random dudes instead of the middle of buttfuck nowhere with their grandparents.  They try pretty damned hard to get those jobs, in spite of the fact that they basically end up being hired because of the fact that their managers like to fuck seventeen year olds.  It's one way to start climbing the corporate ladder, though.

Factory Girls by Leslie Chang is a pretty good book, on the subject.

simply require that goods sold in the U.S. be manufactured according to U.S. labor laws regardless of where they are produced in the world.  Be like Japan, and require on-site U.S. inspectors to observe and report on whether the law is being fulfilled.  Done deal.  Anyone is free to produce whatever they want, wherever they want, but if they don't want to conform to U.S. labor laws, they'll have to find other customers.  That plan probably only has a 20 year shelf life at this point though.

That wouldn't fix shit and you know it. The rest of the world would hum along with cheap goods and the US would nose dive into absolute poverty.

You think they hire more girls than boys and men and older women? and you/this author thinks they do it so they can have lots of sex?

That's generally not why people move into cities.

And the number of rapes in many such places tends to be exceedingly high.

Not this "I was drunk" nonsense. There was a girl picked up on a bus in some city in India a few years ago and a group of men on the bus raped her, raped her with a lead pipe of some sort, before pulling her intestines out. She died of multiple organ failure some time later. It caused a public outcry and many of the public admitted that there was a serious rape problem and often enough police wouldn't even come out to take a report of rape.

No idea if things have changed. I'd hope so but it wasn't very long ago.

Most of those people live in pretty horrific conditions. Very much substandard conditions to us at the very least. I'm pretty doubtful they willingly do it to bang more people.

You can probably find the story I'm talking about and the subsequent rape problem confessions and assessment with a quick google search. I'm not all that interested in seeing it again. It distributed me in a way almost no other media story has.

They do it to have sex in the same sense that people go to college to have sex.  China has some problems, but it's not the quasi-Soviet hellhole that people make it out to be.  The PRC and the United States are a lot more alike than most people really seem to think.

And I'm not sure what your issue with Leslie Chang is.  She actually did honest research.  She's not just offering her opinion.

And yes.  They do tend to hire more girls than boys.  A man under the age of forty is a premium in a lot of the production centers, in part because rural Chinese families prefer to have one son and a shitload of daughters and don't really give a crap about how many kids the government says that they can have.  Regime change is a Chinese cultural past-time.  What the fuck should they care about what some suit, way the christ in Beijing says?

I have nothing against this woman I've never heard of before. And I know little of factory work in China other than it's improved alot in the last 20 years. Don't think that alot of that really is sweatshop shit anymore. Substandard to ours in some ways but alot our better than ours in some ways.

Oh and I've never met anyone that goes to college just for sex.

They usually do it for a number of reasons and sex is one of many.
I'll watch your video when I settle down for the night, if I remember, and give you a better assessment. :hatsoff:

India has a real big racism problem of lightskinned vs darkskinned. Not just the caste system among Indians but African immigrants are actually randomly attacked and beaten to death for no reason other than being black there, so its not just sexism that runs rife there.

Now we should note, that if we want to create a sweatshop, we should be careful to chose the weaker skinned color in the Indian caste system.

That sounds wicked, but our own corporations are doing this and we are buying the products. It's definitely nothing new.

I suppose it's the new American dream.

Outright slavery might be better

Remember how democrats were originally slave owners and supporters?

And now they hike up the regulations, which brings about these slavery sweat shops.

What a coincidence!

Remember when the racist democrats switched parties and became republicans?

I have no idea why conservatives love to bring up this point about how democrats used to be the party of racists. Things changed. The Democratic Party evolved to become the party that supports civil rights. The democrats who wanted to cling to their racist ideology left the party and became republicans, which is why the south is dominated by the GOP. That's some shameful history for republicans, especially in light of the redemption of the democrats

It's really an intellectually bankrupt argument to try and claim democrats are the ones oppressing black people. You should be embarrassed posting such garbage.

relublicans want to get rid of welfare because it gives women an incentive to be single mothers which makes children more likely to fail in many areas in life.

and the families that are broken are disproportionally black. single parent house holds are much more likely to be poor and black families are much more likely to have single parents.

democrats call republicans racist for wanting to get rid of welfare when acctually it would empower black people.

democrats want to keep black people at a disadvantage so they will continue to beleive the lies democrats tell them about institutional racism.

democrats are pro abortion which disproportionally kills black babies.

democrat's policies are hurting black americans. democrats like to keep black people as their little prt victims. its pretty sick.

affirmitive action is a less extreme example. republicans are called racist for wanting to treat black people the same as everyone. democrats dont think black people can succeed on their own. thats the soft bigotry of low expectation.

you have no idea what you're talking about
welfare is peanuts
most single black mothers work just as much if not more then men
you can't live on 300bucks a month from the gov't and if you can they take it away
