I must say this doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Trump voters were duped by a slick con artist who promised them the moon and the stars and now reality sets in. It would seem that Americans keep getting duped again and again. When will the common vote realize that change will come bottom up from local grass roots organizing and not top down from the presidency. Local politicians do far more to sway the culture than the federales. Thoughts on the matter?

There probably are not very many, if any at all, free elections.  Lot's of big players that have heavy influence.

Republicans are any more simply a fully retarded group, that believes anything that fits their self identity.

I think there are lots of special interests that have undue influence but I would say the elections are still working as the founders intended.

Trump voters are still supporting him at this point since it's so early in the term.

Hell, it took Obama supporters 6 years before they found out they were conned.

The thing Trump has working in his favor is that he isn't on good terms with the D's or R's, that makes his supporters even more committed to the Trump vs The Establishment theme.

Do you have any evidence to support your claim that there are more than 100,000,000 Trump supporters?  He only got 61,201,031 votes in November, and his support seems to have gone down from there.

Maybe you're including all of his supporters in Russia?

With 320+ million people in the US, and Trump getting 45%+ of the vote, I figured 100,000,000+ wasn't unreasonable.

Well, he seems to be sitting at about 35% approval rating.  The population of the US is about 325,000,000.  About 25% of those are children, leaving about 244 million adults.  35% of 244 million comes to about 85 million.  There might be a handful of supporters among children, but not very many, so I'd guess maybe 86 million or so.

But I'm not the one who made the claim.  You are.  It seems your claim was based on the vote, which is almost a year old and came to far less than your stated number.

I try to avoid politics at all costs, specially speaking about politics, it's not my interest, and it's an area where there is very little clarity, specially regarding those who invest more energy than they should in the area.

I will make an exception this one time and speak about politics very briefly.

Free elections, as well as true demoracy are an illusion.

The hamstringing of the Trump administration is complete:  The only viable candidates in 2016 were Clinton and Jeb Bush.

The play of democrats and inside Reps people had the goal of keeping the swamp in place, to benefit the big banks and private insider Elites of the big statism government.

In 2020, Bernie is not a viable candidate.  Viable is big government that spends your money on what the wheels in Congressman want.  The wheels for the Democrats is Chuck Schumer and the Reps Bitch McConnell--the gators in the swamp. 

Reason is not the President's: Not Trump, not Obama.  that couldn't getting shit moving for the same reason--the swamp and congress.  That's the problem.
