Sealing bags boogies way

So there are plenty of helpful teks that show you how to make them up but not to seal. When i first started a generous member sent me 25 bags without even asking for them, i still wish i could repay the gratitude but he refuses... my problem was sealing and figured out so i will write it up the best i can ....


Here is how i seal them i dont fold the seams like they come straight across so you dont have extra material ...


So when i make bags i fold them over once fold the flap underneath and cook 6 4qt bags for 3.25 hours at 17 psi... i put the pc in front of my hood and wipe my arms with 70iso once i g2g i straighten then seams like the picture above...



I have sealer from amazon goes to 8 and i press the seal down once the light goes off i hold it there for a few seconds, i just let it pop up a little bit, enough for it to reset. I do this about four times let it cool, then flip the bag over and repeat, then i try to release the air, 9 times out of 10 i label and do the next instead of having to reseal .. You want to allow it to cool enough so the excess material doesnt melt and tear away.


Nothing fancy and most of you may have your own way but in case you have sealing issues like i did hopefully it helps

That's foolish I just had a deal on Amazon like that 14000 seeds for 20 or 16500 seeds for 13 :facepalm:

Ya you can tape them like in a pony tail is the way i can explain it or even fold an inch flap down at the top and tape it long ways ... then you can reuse the bags if ypu wanted i habe 800+ bags still so i just cut em haha

What kind of tape survives a pc? Like gorilla tape? I have some of that, but it will be super sticky I know after pc cycle

You tape the bag after the pc you can seal before you put it with a sealer but take the extra fold it at the bulk of the grain and fold underneath or fold it in half then in half again ... once you take it out and g2g you seal it
