I'd be friends with almost everyone. I do have friends that would be considered racist or homophobic. I listened to their views, and they listened to mine. When they get crazy with it I tell them to stop being a dick and if they don't then I distance myself from them. Sometimes the friendships don't work out, sometimes they do. Most have changed their views over time to be more accepting.
