Like back when Reagan got elected. If you turned on the news you'd hear nothing but how shitty he was and how the majority of people didnt support him. Yet he won in nearly every state lol. Like my grandfather said, everyone hated Reagan except the people.

Granted trump is no Reagan but talking to people in my day to day life there is a strong sense that people are not satisfied with obama and the current state of the economy etc. And they certainly do not want another president like him or even worse..

I went to Reagan's inauguration. There weren't any protests. It was festive. I went to a democratic senators party in the Capitol. Nobody wants trump. He's incompetent. People disagreed with Reagan's politics. Nobody is worried about trumps politics because they're too worried about his abilities. They are worried because he's mentally ill. They are worried because he appeals to the dumbest part of our society. They are worried because he believes fake news and doesn't believe in facts.

But here's the thing, what to do about these giant corporations that truly have more wealth and influence than many of our smaller states have and they buy enormous legal advantages over the rest of the population.  They use their legal shielding and campaign funding schemes to get all kinds of government benefits, contracts and advantages.  And they get lots and lots of laws passed that create much of the micro managing that government does.

I don't get the impression that Cenk lies. He's an independent. He was supporting Sanders. His program is sponsored by members - not corporations. He criticizes democrats almost as much as republicans. He's against money in politics.

I don't like that he's a meat eater and there are other things I don't agree with him about - but I don't get the impression he's into lying.
