Liquid Medium Question

I know the suggested ratio is 4% dextrose/syrup/honey by volume, but what is the detriment of using more than this figure ~8-10%? More nutrients do not produce a longer period of growth? Does the excess disallow any growth through some process?

use mollases man, it's hard to caramelize mollases and on my first try with mollases in only 2 days it was about finished and ready to suck up in a syringe!

Personally I've only used about 10%, or a table spoon per 100ml of water. It grows out. Never had a problem with that. Good luck.
