I took 500ug yesterday and watched The Holy Mountain and Event Horizon.  I watched both of these for the very first time and all I can say is...WOW!!!

Best movies to trip that I've seen in a very long time!!!!!!!!

the holy mountain is a great film, so cheesy , but i loved it, and for its times it is really epic, a collection of ancient esoteric wisdom expressed and displayed on screen.  definitely should be on the psychedelic trip movie list.

It is a story of the classical natural mystical experience.

I cant watch movies or shows on psychedelics, it makes me see right through the set and the studio, and the actors, and the script, and the props and the costumes etc etc.  Im like hmmm why am i watching a play? haha its like my brain wont suspend all that stuff, so i cant get into the movie.  Its like im watching what the guy filming in the studio is watching form behind the scenes.  That and CGI looks absurd to me.  While sober its the same, but i can switch the old brain switch and it makes the movie experience seamless, so no biggie.

so just watch animated movies then. I'm gonna watch secret of Nimh my next trip. I havent seen it in forever but I just watched the trailer and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be amazing..

The story behind the making of this movie is interesting too. Here it is, from Wiki:

"Before the principal photography would commence, Jodorowsky and his wife spent a week without sleep under the direction of a Japanese Zen master.[3]

The central members of the cast spent three months doing various spiritual exercises guided by Oscar Ichazo of the Arica Institute. The Arica training features Zen, Sufi and yoga exercises along with eclectic concepts drawn from the Kabbalah, the I Ching and the teachings of George Gurdjieff. After the training, the group lived for one month communally in Jodorowsky's home before production.[3] Thereafter, the filming started in early 1972. The film was shot sequentially, entirely in Mexico, at a budget of $750,000.[3]

Jodorowsky was also instructed by Ichazo to take LSD for the purpose of spiritual exploration. [4] He also administered psilocybin mushrooms to the actors during the shooting of the death-rebirth scene."

watch kids movies like Megamind or the leggo movie...those are the only type of movies i can watch while tripping.


i love watching sports when tripping. mainly football or basketball

Im a big Jodorowsky fan.  There was a recent documentary release about his work on his unfinished Dune - the movie.  Check it out.  And yea holy mountain was a summarize of all the mystical traditions of different religious branches plucked and put into the Hippy / psychedelic Psyche of the their day and understood via psychedelic drug ingestion n visionary experience  .

He was big into getting involved in every way he could to get people to bring out the essence of whatever it was they were getting into.  Cool guy.

Inception, Donnie Darko, and Cloud Atlas are my favorites while tripping. DB Z is also funny as fuck while tripping.
