My girlfreinds parents took the first thing I bought with my first paycheck, a knife, and sold it on e-bay. They didn't think it was something there daughter, or me, should have. Apparently, the person in Poland who they sold it to has some level of maturity that me, 19, and my girlfreind, 20, don't have. Or maybe they just saw the opportunity to make a quick buck. One of her parents, after all, is an e-bay power seller. Still, a knife is something a person can legally own, and at 80 dollars they should have given it back/reimbursed me.

you have to respect other people's shit.... you don't just take someone's personal posession and sell it, even if you think they shouldnt have it.

In my opinion, them taking it because they didn't think you should have it is even worse than if they took it just for a quick buck. They'd be forcing their personal feelings and opnions on you, like nazis. And what do we do with nazis? We bomb them into the stone age and force them to surrender. But surrender is not enough, you must erase their existence from the planet. But first, take everything of theirs you can find, sell it on ebay, and use the "I dont think you needed to have that" excuse or whatever. Then look them in the eyes, real hard, and using the sheer force of will, send a focused blast of mental energy into their brains, killing them immediately. Then pick up your girlfriend, and ride a golden steed Poland and take back your knife for the motherland. FOR HONOR!!!!!

I can think of a lot of things I would rather buy than a knife with my first paycheck, lol and I definitely wouldn't suggest leaving at your gf's parents house.  But still thats real fucked up, when they take something out of "discipline" they're supposed to throw it out, not make money off it!  Not to mention that they're NOT YOUR PARENTS!  They obviously know this, and its probably why they didn't confront you, scared to overstep their bounds.  But still they were probably afraid their "little girl" was gonna get hurt so they did what they could to "protect her", and oh, how convenient, they made $80 off it while they were at it.  (sarcastic) I bet they feel real satisfied with their parental and financial responsibility, fuckers.  Don't know what to tell you, but you must have a real cool gf to put up with them for her :smile:  GL
