picking

I have four grain based mycobags inoculated with koh sumi super strain and was wondering how soon
after fruits start showing to pick them. I know to pick them before the veil opens, but I was wondering
how many days. I was thinking of picking three of them and leaving one bag as a control measure and
using that to judge how long they take to open.

Just wait till they are about to or just break the veil open and pick em....You can pick them as they are ready over a day or 3.

i agree with dobinky, wait till the viel is just about to break, you will know when it is ready. You do normally have a 1-2 day wait for the veil to break.

once the vail breaks, the shroom starts sporulating... this means from what i understand, that they stop producing psilocybin, and focus on makign spores... so pretty much its just gonna get bigger, but not more potent... which is why its nice to pick them at that moment.  It's not an exact science... just pick em dude :smile:
